Nail Art for Kids with Piggy Paint

This post was written by the Experimental Mommy.  While a sample was received to facilitate this review, all opinions remain 100% mine.

My Mom is a wonderful artist, but I got absolutely none of her creative talent.  I can’t even paint my own nails without making a huge mess.  But both of my young daughters are really into nail art and I love spending girly time with them, so I am doing my best to create fun and easy designs we can do together.

Piggy Paint, a water based nail polish, recently sent us many colors to try.  As a Mom, I have been a long time fan of Piggy Paint as it does not have a harsh chemical smell.  Since the weather is getting warmer and flip flop season is almost here, my daughters decided they wanted Spring Strawberry nails.  We found a great tutorial that looked simply and easy for us to recreate with Piggy Paint.  Here’s how we did it:

Paint all of your nails using Piggy Paint’s “Something Sweet.”  Use several thin layers instead of a thick coat to allow the polish to dry faster.  You can also dry with a hair dryer set on warm for 1 minute.  If your kids are anything like mine, sitting still is not their forte.

Next, we used a white polish to create the leaves by zig-zagging close to the cuticle.  Color the leaves with Piggy Paint’s “Ice Cream Dream.”  Finally, using black polish, create seeds. Ta-da! Our nails are completely Spring ready!

If your daughters are itching to create their own nail art, Piggy Paint can be found in select Walmart stores and online at Walmart.com.  You can also stock up on your favorite colors by heading to Piggy Paint’s website and using code piggypaint20 which will expire March 31st.
