Reliving the Memories with Ornaments from Personal Creations #PCHoliday

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Provide Commerce and Social Media Chicks.  All opinions are 100% my own.

As a child, I remember sorting through the boxes of ornaments to find the ones that were mine while decorating our family Christmas tree.  It was always fun to see the crafts I had made in years gone by and look at the special ornaments given to me by family and friend.  It’s almost like a scrapbook on a tree!  Now that I have my own family, it has been important to me to carry on the tradition.

Each Christmas since I was married, I have purchased an ornament to commemorate a special event that happened during the year.  For example, we purchased an ornament on our honeymoon, when we adopted our first dog and when we bought our first house.  And now, I select an ornament for each child that only they can hang on the tree commemorating a special event or achievement.  When they are grown and move away, I will gift their collection on ornaments on their first Christmas on their own in hopes that they will have the same incredible experience of reliving years gone by. This year, I found the perfect family ornament at Personal Creations.  We took our first family cruise this Summer so I thought the flip flop ornament was perfect to remember our time on the Carnival Conquest.

While personalized stockings are usually found on the fireplace mantle, I fell in love with the personalized jingle mini stockings from Personal Creations.  With tweens and teens on our list this year, I knew we would be purchasing several gift cards and I thought the stockings would create a more personal gift.  I think it will be fun to tell the kids to go find their own stocking hanging on the tree!

Now that we are all decorated and gifts have been purchased, the kids are getting quite anxious for Christmas to arrive.  To help my little one understand the concept of time, the snowman countdown calendar has been a great help!  As a family, we are observing Advent and the calendar has helped us keep track of daily devotionals.
