How to Create a “Hair Bow” in 3 Easy Steps

While my family and I were camping over Memorial Day weekend, the girls asked for me to try a few new and fun hairstyles for them to wear this Summer.  We found this adorable (and surprisingly easy hair style) while searching Pinterest on the blog of Hair and Make-up by Steph.  I tried it out on my oldest daughter and here are the results:

1.  Grab two sections of hair from the side of the head and secure them in the back with an elastic band.  The last time you wrap the elastic around the hair, do not pull the ends through.  This will create a loop that will become the bow.

2.  Separate the loop into two sections and secure each side with two bobby pins (one going up and one going down).

3.  Take a small section of the remainder of the pony tail, lift up and push through the center of the bow.  Pull down to tighten.  Secure with a bobby pin if necessary.

That’s it!  Enjoy!
