Unfortunately, the last few days of our summer vacation have been spent inside and away from the heavy rains here in New Orleans. Trying to keep the kids entertained has proven to be a monumental task. We have colored pictures, done some reading, practiced math skills, played Wii and even thrown a dance party but my bag of tricks is running low! Today, I decided to head to our local Redbox to rent the girls a movie (for just $1.20!) from the Summer Family Fun list. Not surprising that they immediately chose Happy Feet 2 as the original movie was a huge hit in my home.
My two girls love to dance…especially tap dance…so they have always loved the dancing and singing in the first movie and this one was no different. The movie begins with a huge penguin dance party which immediately caught their attention. The adventure begins right away and never slowed throughout the entire film. As a Mom, I love that Happy Feet 2 encourages kids to find their own special talents and my daughters even pointed out that when the penguin “tribes” came together to solve a problem, it was just like the Olympics…a gathering of Nations. Impressive. We don’t want to give away too much of the movie because I am sure you will want to see it, but check out what my two daughters had to say about Happy Feet 2!
