Freschetta California-Style Pizza: Review and Giveaway

With both my husband and I working full time, many nights we are scrambling for a dinner idea at the last minute.  Oftentimes, we will throw a frozen pizza in the oven and pair it with an Italian style salad. We have found one brand of frozen pizza that we have become loyal to, but when I was approached by Freschetta to try their new California Style pizza, I was intrigued by the varieties offered.  From the press release:

“Freschetta® California-Style Pizza. Freschetta’s newest pizzas takes fresh taste to new heights, fusing together creative combinations of flavorful vegetables and signatures sauces to create the four delectable varieties: Mediterranean Garlic & Veggie, Spicy Chicken & Feta, Bacon, Spinach & Artichoke and Sundried Tomato & Cheese.”

Because my kids are less than adventurous eaters, we decided to try the Sundried Tomato and Cheese.  In less than 30 minutes, dinner was on the table and I have to say that it was quite tasty.  We all really liked the crispiness of the thin crust and the taste of the tomatoes.  In fact, Freschetta delayed their tomato harvest to ensure that the they were picked from the vine at the peak of ripeness, and it definitely paid off!
