Plan a Family Game Night with Hasbro: Review and Giveaway

With the lighter schedule this summer thanks to no homework or sports practices, we have made it a point to try and work in some good quality time in the evenings after dinner.  Recently, we got the chance to check out three new card games fromHasbro. The kids were all fired up to try out Yahtzee Hands Down, 1000 Mile Bornes, and Sorry! Revenge.  We’ve had a lot of rain in the evenings lately so this week was perfect to shut off the TV and play.  The games were easy to set up, simple to learn, and fast enough paced to hold the kids’ interest, and ours too.  Both children agreed Sorry! was their favorite.  What I liked the most about having a family game night is that it got both kids talking to us, which is something that doesn’t happen when they are parked in front of the T.V.   I also like how playing games with your children helps facilitate taking turns, fair play, and good sportsmanship.  It’s always nice to see lessons you teach in practice!

Em contemplates her next move!

You can share your favorite Family Game Night moments on their Facebook Page and see what others have to say about these great games.  For only $6.99, you can stock up and have lots of options for your family to enjoy.  Since the card games are easy to tote, I plan on packing them for our next vacation.  You can also mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 29 to participate in National Family Game Night! On this date, Hasbro will be encouraging families nationwide to turn off the T.V. and have some family fun.   I am sure all of you have some games at home that haven’t had regular use…..it’s time to dig them out and remember how much fun Family Game night can be with Hasbro Games!

  1. I grew up playing lots of games with my siblings. It was a way of having a more structured play time, and have fun at the same time. Because I loved playing so many games, I would not mind trying either of them.

  3. My family would love to play Boggle! It would be neat to play with them because I played it as a child!

  4. I would love to play Milles Bournes. We used to play this with my parents when I was young and I remember loving it.

  5. I have never heard of Bop-it Bounce. That seems like a fun game. I love bop-it, but I’m the only one in the house that actually likes it. 🙂

We love to play YAHTZEE together.

  6. I want to play Mouse Trap, it’s been forever and a day since I have even heard that name. I used to love that game!
