Help your Community with the Pepsi Refresh Program!

Living in a Post Katrina New Orleans has certainly had its challenges.  The City has come such a long way since the Storm hit in 2005, but recovery is a far cry from complete in several areas.  If any good came from Hurricane Katrina, I would have to say that it brought our community together.  Citizens banded together to help their neighborhoods rebuild in ways beyond your imagination, but projects are limited by funding.

Pepsi Refresh LogoBeginning February 1st, individuals, companies and non profits can submit ideas for making a positive impact in their community for a chance to be awarded a grant by the Pepsi Refresh Project.  Up to 1,000 projects will be accepted each month and consumers will vote for the projects they think should be funded.  Up to 32 grants will be awarded in amounts ranging from $5,000-$250,000 each month!

Ideas can be submitted in one of six categories such as neighborhoods, health, education and arts.  Any US Citizen 13 years of age and older is eligible to submit an application.  So start brainstorming and submit your ideas today!  Don’t forget to follow Pepsi on Twitter and become a Fan on Facebook to make sure you stay up to date on important updates and announcements!

Good Luck!

I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Pepsi Refresh. Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
