Little Debbie 100 calorie cake Giveaway (Gift #4)

hypothesis Little Debbie’s new 1oo calorie Lemon Cakes will help me satisfy my nighttime sweet tooth while not blowing my diet!

materials I received a sneak peek of both the new Cookies and Creme and the new Lemon 100 calorie cakes as well as an old favorite, the yummy yellow cake.   Myself, along with a few trusted taste testers tore into the box and started our “work.”  About Little Debbie:

The Little Debbie® brand has become number one for two reasons: quality and value. McKee Foods uses secret recipes and the highest-quality ingredients, thereby improving the taste of the snack cakes. The snack cakes are also sold at a reasonable price. In fact, Little Debbie® products on average sell for half that of other leading brands. That’s due to manufacturing efficiencies the company has developed over decades of baking experience.

methods Taste testers were assigned a specific flavor of 100 calorie snacks (however some taste testers didn’t stop there….they went above and beyond, trying ALL 3 varities!).  Each tester completed their duty by giving me a short opinion on the product.

The general consensus of the taste panel was that the 100 calorie cakes were delicious (though a bit small).  All of the testers agreed that the cakes were fresh, moist and a snack they would indeed seek out at the grocery store. For me, it was the pefect nighttime snack with a glass of milk!  The hardest part of dieting for me is watching my sweet intake.  The Little Debbie 100 calorie cake varities offers me the option of satisfying my sweet tooth without trashing my diet.  My favorite was the Cookies and Creme!  This chocolate cake includes a yummy creme filling, white icing and crushed cookies on top.

summary

I have been fortunate enough to try several of the latest Little Debbie promotions and I can honestly say that I have yet to try a Little Debbie product that I didn’t like.  Even though I am not big on lemon, I actually enjoyed the new 100 calorie Lemon Cake.  I didn’t find the flavor overwhelming and the icing was yummy!  I would highly recommend anyone looking to count calories but in need of a sweet treat on occasion, run to the nearest store and stock up!

  1. I can’t wait to try the Cookies and Cream…..or the Chocolate…or the Lemon…. they all look good!!!

  2. Since I already have tried the Nutty Bar 100 calorie snacks I will say I would like to try the Lemon Cake ones next.

  3. I’d love the Nutty Bar® Singles … unless all they did was shrink them to make them be 100 calories. Then I’ll be upset, and I’d rather have the cookies and creme cakes.

  4. I would love to try the Lemon Cakes, because unlike you, I really do like lemon cakes… mmmmm!!

Thanks for the chance to win. These sound heavenly. I have put on some weight since my spinal surgery (I’ve been sedentary) and still NEED sweets.

  5. I’d love to try the Lemon Cakes! I usually buy yellow cakes, and this would be a nice change of flavor (I love lemon flavor!) Thanks for the review and giveaway!

  6. I would love to try the Chocolate Cake.. wow only 100 calories, fantastic.
    Thanks for the chance

  9. I’ve looked through all of the choices and it always comes out the same. My favorite is lemon cakes. They are delicious.

  10. Wow, I really want to try the Triple Fudge Brownies! They look like they would be excellent! Thanks.

  11. It’s a toss up between Nutty Bars and Marshmallow Bars, but if I had to pick just one it would be the nutty bars

  13. Hmmm I don’t know what looks better: the cookies and creme or the sno puffs…I think the cookies and creme.

  14. Oh goodness, this is a tough decision! These new products look so delicious. I would like to try the Cookies & Cream Cakes, yet on the other hand, I would scarf down the Triple Fudge Brownies. Decisions, decisions!!

  15. The lemon would be my first choice and chocolate second – that surprises even me, but they sound delish!

  16. I would love to try the Little Debbie 100 Calorie Nutty Bars.
Thank you so much for the chance to win.

  17. The lemon cakes are great, and in the non cake family, the gingerbread men are phenomenal.

  18. I love the idea of 100 calorie treats. I’d love to try the lemon ones and something with some chocolate!!! I hope I win!

  19. All the treats look delicious but I’d choose the Triple Fudge Brownies first of all.

    Thank you for the contest.

  20. I’ve already tried a few of them: the Marshmallow Treats, and the Choco and Yellow Cakes. I’ve always love the crunchiness of the regular Nutty Bars, so I’d like to try these next!
