TommyWants: Review

When I first heard of the new brand, TommyWants, I thought to myself, “What exactly does Tommy want?”  Turns out, Tommy wants……absolutely nothing, according to the Captain’s Blog.  Well, after reviewing the samples generously sent by the founders, Matthew and Megan Harden, I would have to whole-heartedly disagree.

In my opinion, TommyWants success!  This company, which has been “swimming against the tide” since 2007, began their journey by creating a coastal-inspired line of children’s apparel called “He Crabs and She Crabs.”   The mission of TommyWants is to “dress America’s Youth today for tomorrow’s success!”  In order to achieve this goal, the products include a Softshell Polo in a variety of colors as well as matching belts.

tommywantsWhen I received the polo and belt, my first impression was that the color was so vibrant and fun (we received the Buoy Blue).  The shirt is made of a two ply cotton pique knit, and features laser engraved buttons, embroidered patch logo, and a size label designed to resemble the “Highway 12” sign in the Outer Banks.  I like that the shirt has shorter sleeves and a modern fitted cut which sets it apart from other similar Polo styles.  Each shirt has an adorable little logo crab as well!  Unfortunately, the sizes start at a 6/7 which is too large for Lily, so I couldn’t get any personal pics for you all, but I was very impressed with the quality of the TommyWants brand and will definitely be holding onto this shirt for next summer.

TommyWants Polos ($34) and belts ($26) can be purchased directly from their website or you can search for a retailer near you.  You can also become a Fan of TommyWants on Facebook so you don’t miss any incredible deals or product announcements!
