Take “Small Steps to a Better You” with Dannon and Win Groceries for a YEAR!

At the start of the year, I joined Weight Watchers to get rid of a few extra pounds that just don’t belong on my body.  Since then, I have really become aware of the benefits of the food I place in my mouth.  Is the food really worth it for the satisfaction level I gain from the meal?  I have been focusing on “power foods” or foods that provide a sense of being full.  Gone are the empty calories of high sugar foods!  This is one way that I am taking small steps to a better, healthier me in 2011!

Want to join me?  From January 23 – February 28, Dannon encourages you to live a healthier lifestyle with their “Small Steps to a Better You” program, while giving you the chance to win free groceries for a week, month or even a year! By entering the UPC code found under the barcode of any Dannon product you have four daily chances to win instantly.  Get healthy AND win free groceries…it’s a win/win situation! The prizes include:

YoPlait YoPlus Yogurt: First 50 visitors receive a FREE 4 pack!

“Can I have a snack?”  This sentence is spoke in my home at least 20 times a day.  My oldest daughter, Lily, would rather graze on snacks all day rather than sit down and eat a big meal.  Of course, I try to limit her snack intake and try to make sure healthy snack options are always available in our home.  One of the things both of my daughters love is yogurt, such as YoPlait YoPlus.

The new formula now includes 20 percent of the Daily Value of antioxidant vitamins A and E, a blend of special probiotic cultures and fiber for digestive health, as well as calcium and vitamin D for bone health.  YoPlus is available in many delicious flavors such as Blackberry Pomegranate, Blueberry Acai,  Strawberry, Vanilla, Peach and Cherry.

Want to try it out?  YoPlait will generously provide the first 50 readers who fill out the form below with a FREE 4 pack of YoPlait YoPlus!!  The form also includes a printable coupon for $1.00 of your next YoPlus purchase!

Stonyfield YoBaby Meals: Review and Giveaway

hypothesis The Stonyfield YoBaby 3 in 1 meals will be a great (and tasty) way to ensure that my picky eaters get their servings of fruits and vegetables in order to promote healthy eating!

materialsTwo 6 oz. cups of Stonyfield YoBaby 3 in 1 meals in the sweet potato and apple variety, and 2 picky daughters who do not like their veggies.  About YoBaby Meals:

yobaby

YoBaby Meals offer a unique 3-in-1 combination of protein-packed yogurt + fruit + veggie purée in one cup. They’re an easy, delicious and surprising way to help moms give their babies and toddlers a trio of important food groups at every meal.  Three delicious flavors — Pear & Green Bean, Peach & Squash, Apple & Sweet Potato – are just right for baby’s growing appetite. And the single serve 6-ounce cup offers 50% more than current 4-ounce YoBaby multipacks.”

results Aubrie and Lily both are fairly picky eaters.  While both have always loved YoBaby yogurt, it has been a challenge to get them to eat any veggies!  Because I want to promote the importance of healthy eating, I have not stopped trying to give them a fun, more appealling way to get them to love vegetables.  So, when YoBaby announced the development of YoBaby 3 in 1 meals, I was elated!

These 6oz yogurts not only provide protein-packed yogurt, but also fruit AND veggie purree!  SCORE!  I found these meals at Walmart and selected the Apple and Sweet Potato variety.  I will admit that I skeptical about how the product would look, but after mixing, it looked no different than their regular yougurt serving.  BOTH girls devoured their YoBaby Meals!

summary

YoBaby 3 in 1 meals definitely worked in my home!  Both of my daughters loved the yogurt and did not suspect that they were actually getting in some veggies!  YAY!  I found these meals at my local Super Walmart for $1.29 a piece.

Want to try it for yourself? One Lucky Not-So-Blog reader will receive a YoBaby Meals prize pack pictured above including: 1 Yobaby travel bowl with lid, 1 Yobaby organic cotton bib, 1 Eric Carle growth chart, and 3 free Yobaby Meals coupons!
