Scentsy for Your Sweetheart: Review and Giveaway

After being introduced to Scentsy earlier this year, I have been a huge fan.  My husband makes fun of my “smelly drawer” because I have become addicted to trying new scents! Because Valentine’s Day is just around the corner (can you believe it?), Scentsy sent over the Hugs and Kisses warmer and scents from their Romance Collection. About Scentsy:

“Scentsy is a direct selling, wickless candle company headquartered in Meridian, Idaho. The company is owned by Orville and Heidi Thompson and sells its products through a field sales force of 40,000 independent sales representatives known as Independent Scentsy Consultants, who market and sell Scentsy products through home parties.

Scentsy sells wickless candles, ceramic warmers and home-fragrance products.  A wickless candle, called a Scentsy Bar or a Scentsy Brick, is a highly fragrant wax bar that is warmed to release fragrance into the air. Because the wax is gently warmed rather than burned, it can hold more fragrance oil than a traditional candle. And, because there is no flame, there is no smoke, soot or lead. Scentsy wickless candles are a safer alternative to traditional candles.”

Scentsy Candle Warmer

When the product arrived, I knew just where I was going to put it!  I unpacked the box, installed the warming bulb and was ready to go in seconds.  I chose to try “Sentimental Cider” and placed two sections of the wickless candle into the heart shaped (and simply adorable) ceramic base.  My home was quickly filled with a wonderful aroma!  I am always amazed at how much more the Scentsy wickless candle scents my home than a traditional candle. I also really like that there is no flame to be concerned about which allows me to leave the warmer on for longer than I would normally burn a candle.

The Hugs and Kisses warmer would make a great Valentine’s Gift for your Sweetheart!  Pair it with one of the Romance Scents such as “French Kiss” or “Lucky in Love!”

Scentsy Plug-In: Review and Giveaway

hypothesis A Scentsy Candle Warmer Plug In with scented wax bars will be a great way to make our home smell sweet and last longer than the traditional plug in.

materials

One Turquoise plug in, three Scentsy bars in French Kiss, Coconut Lemongrass and Pumpkin Roll, and my main bathroom which could use a fresh scent for Summer!  About Scentsy:

results Recently, I have had the opportunity to try the full size Scentsy candle warmers and absolutely fell in love.  When the wax melts, the scent fills my home and lasts longer than my regular wicked candles.  So, I had high hopes for the plug-in version when I was approached for a review by Scentsy Consultant, Beverly Gaona.
scentsy plug-in

I decided to try one that would match the decor of my bathroom.  The Dandy Turquoise Plug-In matched my chocolate brown walls and I decided to try a few scents that are beyond my comfort zone.  I don’t generally go for romantic scents, but I decided to try French Kiss which is a mix of sweet fig, cedar and coconut.  The other two scents I chose were Coconut Lemongrass for summer and Pumpkin Roll for a holiday feel.

Setting up the plug-in was a breeze and I placed one section of the scented brick in the warmer.  Within seconds, the wax was melted by the included lightbulb and the bathroom was filled with fabulous smells.  The plug I chose to use is high enough to be out of reach of my pet and my two daughters, so I was confident no one would play with the warmer.  The design of the plug-in is so elegant and classy….much better than those grocery store plug-ins!

hypothesis

Because of my recent review, I already knew I was a fan of the Scentsy system, quality and service.  But, I was anxious to try the Plug-in system for my bathroom.  I was pleased to see that the same great quality of the full size warmers translated into the Plug-In system as well.  The style fit well with my decor and the scents filled my bathroom almost instantly.  At just $13.50, I think this would make a great Housewarming gift!

Beverly Gaona, a great Scentsy representative, will generously supply one lucky reader with one Plug-In of their choice and three scents.

Scentsy: Review and Giveaway

hypothesis A Scentsy Candle Warmer with scented wax bars will be a great way to make our home smell sweet without worrying about the girls being near an open flame like most traditional candles.

materials

One Classic Collection (Scentsy Plum) Full Size Warmer, three Scentsy bars in Apple Pie, Cinnamon Bear and Sugar Cookie, and one living room in desperate need of “freshening up!”  About Scentsy:

scentsylogo“Scentsy is a direct selling, wickless candle company headquartered in Meridian, Idaho. results I have always loved candles.  Before having children, our home was filled with them!  But I quickly learned that kids are attracted to candles like a moth to a flame!  The candles were removed and placed only on high shelves and lit only on special occasions.

I have heard of Scentsy, but have never had the opportunity to try them until now!  I received the Classic Collection Full Size Warmer and three different scents to try.  I was very impressed with the style and quality of the candle warmer!  It fit right in with my decor.  I picked three scents from the Bakery line and immediately knew I wanted to try Apple Pie first.  After installing the light bulb in the warmer, plugging in the warmer and turning it on, I placed two sections of the bar into the warmer and waited for the magic to happen.

Within only a few minutes, the wax was heated by the lightbulb and my room smelled heavenly!  I was actually pretty surprised that the Scentsy warmer system allowed more fragrance to be released into the air than my traditional candles.  Because I was so happy with the system, I took out the catalog and started looking at my options.  I could not believe how many styles, colors and scents are available.  From mid size to plug-ins, Milano to Doodlebug, there is a warmer for everyone and every style!

The only downside to the Scentsy warmer is that it must be placed near a plug which limits your flexibility.  But, I’m willing to work with that!

hypothesis

I am a new fan of Scentsy!  I definitely want to try out the plug-in system next.  The full size warmers would make a great Mother’s Day gift at only $30!

The generous people at Scentsy have given me one Full Size Classic Collection warmer (in cream) to give away to one lucky reader!
