Even though I am an incredibly bad example, my two daughters love to play chef in their pretend kitchen. They can spend hours using their imaginations and working together to create a fabulous fake meal.

With all of the pretend food we have in their kitchen, the Melissa and Doug wooden sets are by far their favorite. We currently own the pizza, fruit, cookie and cupcake sets and now, thanks to Gummy Lump, we now have the Special Occasion Cake set, too!

Because we have owned several Melissa and Doug items, I can personally attest to the durability of the products. The wooden sets hold up so much better than their plastic counterparts. And the sets are incredibly cute, too! The Velcro pieces allow the kids to “cut” the fruits and “slice” a piece of cake to serve whoever wants to play.
