With two girls in my home, sometimes it feels like we live in a pink world with purple stars.  Sometimes, we get an occasional red, blue or orange shower but admittedly it is rare.  No matter what color the day brings, my daughters are certainly the rainbows of life!

Join the Pampers Valentine’s Play Date Pin Party

My husband and I were high school sweethearts, so we have been together for over 21 years (wow, has it really been that long?).  Each Valentine’s Day, he brings me a single red rose….sometimes in person, sometimes left on my pillow and other times I have found it in my car.  Since having two daughters, I adore the fact that he now brings me the traditional red rose and each daughter gets a single pink rose.  My heart melts.

Let’s face it, after you have kids, Valentine’s Day takes on a whole new meaning.  It becomes a celebration of family and the ways you can express your love for each other.  A great idea to include the kids in Valentine’s Day is to plan a special parent/child play date.

It’s no secret around here that I am a huge advocate for Pampers.  Both of my daughters wore Pampers throughout their diaper wearing years starting with the Newborn size Pampers Swaddlers.  I have always loved the quilted softness of Swaddlers as well as the stretchy overlapping fasteners which provided a perfect fit for both of my babies.

Pampers Celebrates Beautiful Morning Moments {Giveaway}

My absolute favorite part of the day is waking up my 4 year old daughter.  Every single morning, she wakes with a huge smile on her face and jumps up to hug me always singing, “Good Morning, Mommy!”  No matter what is on my agenda for the day, her smile makes the morning much sweeter.

I #PAMPERed an Expecting Mom with a Ding Dong Diaper Ditch!

When my daughter was born, she was blessed to have so many family and friends that wanted to meet and hold her for the first time.  Oftentimes, my house seemed to have a revolving door.  While I loved having so much support, I have to admit that it was rather exhausting.  Trying to look like I had it all together and this whole “new Mom” thing was a piece of cake took every ounce of strength and patience I had in me.

As part of the Pampers Baby Board, I recently learned about a new trend called a “Ding Dong Diaper Ditch” which was featured on Happy Home Fairy.  Basically, the Mom gets pampered with a box of diapers without having to entertain guests.  Simply leave the diapers on the doorstep, ring the bell….and RUN!

Today, I decided to Ding Dong Diaper Ditch a friend of mine that is expecting Baby Boy #2 next month.  Thank to Pampers, I was able to leave two boxes of diapers as well as a few coupons for more free diapers for the Mom to either use for herself or to pay it forward to another unsuspecting Mom.  Check it out:

If you read this blog at all, you now that I am a Pampers fanatic!  When my first daughter was born, I was given a pack of Pampers Swaddlers at my baby shower and I haven’t looked back.  Since then, I was honored to be selected for the Pampers Baby Board where I get behind the scenes access to new products and initiatives to share with my readers….and today is no different!

Jennifer Hudson and Pampers release “Lullaby and Goodnight” {Free Download}

When I first saw Jennifer Hudson on American Idol, I immediately fell in love with her voice.  Week after week, I was stunned by her talent and I am continually amazed with her accomplishments including a Grammy!  Now, Jennifer Hudson has teamed up with Pampers to create her rendition of “Lullaby and Goodnight” to honor the special bond between babies and their parents.  Check out the release below and make sure to head to Pampers’ Facebook Page for a free download!

The celebrate the release of the lullaby, Pampers is making a special donation of $100,000 to Jennifer Hudson’s charity, the Julian D. King Gift Foundation to benefit moms, toddlers and babies.

Pampers Salutes Most Valuable Dads with Eli Manning

What a whirlwind the past week has been for my family!  Over Father’s Day weekend, but before our Disney trip, we were whisked away to New York City to honor our Most Valuable Dad courtesy of Pampers.  My husband is an exceptional Father and surrounded by women at home, is the first to get on the floor and play princess with his two girls.  So on Father’s Day, he deserved a little manly pampering of his own.

Pampers has joined forces with Eli Manning, a new Dad himself, to honor the active role Dad plays in raising their little Miracles.  Once we landed in New York City, my family enjoyed a day of sightseeing including a subway ride to hop on the Staten Island Ferry.  My husband, a history teacher, loved playing tour guide to our two daughters as we sailed by the Statue of Liberty.

On Father’s Day, we were escorted to CitiField and were so excited to see our very first professional baseball game.  We were honored to be able to meet and interview Eli Manning, two time SuperBowl winning Quarterback and NOLA Native (I actually interviewed his Mom last year)!  To start the game, Eli Manning and his daughter, Ava, threw out the first pitch while MVDs where honored throughout the day.  I loved that the scoreboard included fun facts about the players’ Dads and several videos were shown carrying special messages for Dad from members of the armed forces serving overseas.  Although the Mets lost, we had a great time cheering on the home team with our giant foam finger!

Want to know a little secret?  I have always wanted to be an ice skater (like Michelle Kwan) in the Olympics.  But given the fact that I live in New Orleans where the weather rarely gets below freezing and there are no ice skating rinks, it is no surprise that my dream would never become reality.  Nonetheless, I absolutely love watching the Olympics and cheering on Team USA!
