I already knew that I loved the Britax brand as it is definitely my car seat of choice for my two daughters, but I have never owned any other type of product from Britax.  So, when the Britax Chaperone arrived, I was excited and ready to put it to the test on the bumpy streets of New Orleans!  My first “just out of the box” impression was that it was sleek and sturdy.  The colors of the stroller are great for both girls and boys, and after an easy assembly, Aubrie could not wait to get in (I’m surprised you all couldn’t hear her screaming “OUTSIDE!” from your own homes!).  I literally fell in love with this stroller from the moment I tried to put Aubrie into it.  As I lifted her up to wrestle her into the seat behind the snack tray, I realized that the snack tray lifts over baby’s head!  Ingenius!  None of my current strollers have this feature, and I LOVE IT.  The adjustable straps and 5 point harness made it very easy to make sure Aubrie was both safe and comfortable.  Another one of my favorite features was the one footed, one motion brake.  You only have to depress the brake on ONE tire in order for the entire stroller to be locked.

As I was loading the stroller with the umbrella and diaper bag, I realized that the storage area was very roomy and also incredibly easy to access because one side of the basket folds down!!  The basket was easy to access even when Aubrie fell asleep and the stroller was in the reclined position (it features a 3 position recliner).  As we strolled through the streets of New Orleans, we encountered many bumps, cracks and potholes (not surprising if you have ever been here), but the Britax Chaperone handled them beautifully.

Check out this video of some of my favorite features!

summary

The Britax Chaperone is now my stroller of choice when going on outings or short trips to the mall.  It was easy to open and close (a must for short trips), had plenty of storage for shopping trips, and handled the streets well.  The weight limit on this stroller is 55 pounds, so even my 4 year old can take a ride when her feet hurt!  I would definitely recommend this stroller to other parents!

The Britax Chaperone can be purchased from Lone Star Baby and Kids for $299.99.  Right now, you can receieve $100 back by mail if you purchase the Britax Chaperone Stroller and Infant Seat together!
