Gift Idea for Mom: Cutey Charm Bracelet {Giveaway}

I was shopping with a friend this morning and she was all excited because she got a charm for her niece’s charm bracelet as a Christmas gift.  The reason she was excited is because she got it half off.  While impressed with the charm, I had sticker shock, even at the half off price!  These popular bracelets can break you!  I told my friend it was too bad she didn’t already know about Cutey!  Based in the UK and founded in 2011, Cutey provides a quality range of customizable jewelry. Their initial range is designed as an everyday accessory that can be used at any time.  The range is designed with the ability to be easily changed, allowing the jewelry to be changed based on mood, time or outfit.  Best of all, Cutey is affordable!

With a wide variety of charms, all at an affordable price, Cutey bracelets would make a perfect gift for anyone on your list, or as a treat to yourself.  I received a Moirae charm bracelet and I love it!  I can easily change out the charms to suit what I am wearing and it goes perfectly with a variety of things I wear on a regular basis.  It’s well-made and not so heavy that it weighs my wrist down.  Another favorite is the Aether bracelet.  I love the combination of colors on this one!

Right now, Cutey is offering 10% off orders until December 30, 2011!

Unique, By Emma Jewelry {Review and Giveaway}

How many of you have been invited to the popular “jewelry parties” in the last few months?  I have…..to six.  Yes, six.  While I love seeing friends and the new fashions, the number of things I have bought?  Zero.  Although most of it is beautiful, most of it is also very pricey and not in my current budget.  For those of you who have been avoiding the jewelry party invites but are still interested in picking up some versatile pieces to spice up your wardrobe, you need to check out Unique by Emma.

Based in Manhattan, Unique By Emma offers classic, beautiful jewelry within every price range.  From the website:  “each piece of Unique, by Emma jewelry is intended to be worn by women and girls of all ages and styles and all designs maintain a timeless look, making them wearable for years. each piece is specially made to order and is constructed carefully by hand using fine gemstones, pearls, metals, and other special findings.”

I really loved all the items in Emma’s Back To Basics Collection, which includes necklaces with enough “oomph” to complement what you are wearing without weighing you down like Mr. T.  Remember him?

I am big on bracelets and Unique By Emma has tons to pick from.  From the simple green aventurine and gold to the attention-getting turquoise and pearl, Emma has something to meet everyone’s taste.  I was happy to receive the pearl and gold tube bracelet and love it.  It’s the perfect weight and well-made, with a sturdy clasp and a brilliant shine.  It’s the perfect complement to many things in my closet and has become my “go-to” bracelet for quite a few days now.   Her earrings are phenomenal too!

Love this bracelet! Simple and beautiful!

Unique By Emma would be a great place to get some Holiday shopping done for your moms, aunts, teachers, you name it!  With great prices and excellent customer service, there IS really something unique about Emma.

Can’t wait until the holidays to get something Unique By Emma? The Experimental Mommy is thrilled to have a little something to give away!

NOVICA: Review

hypothesis The Sterling Silver cuff bracelet “New Inca” will make a gorgeous accessory for many of my summer outfits and be a great way to support artisans around the world.

materials

One Sterling Silver Jewelry Cuff Bracelet entitled “New Inca” from Peru and a jewelry box that desperately needs updated accessories.  About NOVICA:

novicalogo“We want to give artists and artisans around the world a global platform to express their true artistic talents and to spur their creativity. And, we want to provide you with access to unique, hard-to-find items at great values that only the Internet infrastructure can allow.  At the deepest essence of our philosophy, we want to create a bridge between you and the many talented artisans across the globe.

We want you to know about who you’re buying from. We want you to feel that attachment to the product and to the hands that created it.”

results As you can see from my blog most of the products I review and for my kids.  So, I was more than excited to get something for ME! My jewelry drawer is in major need of an update, so I set off to select a beautiful piece from NOVICA.  I was enchanted with the selection of sterling silver jewelry, earrings and home decor as well as the diversity the artist’s work.  After an hour of searching, my eye kept going back to a sterling silver cuff bracelet from Peru called “New Inca” which is described below:

The design of this bracelet exudes powerful elegance. Victor Williams is inspired by the large jewelries favored by the Inca. The sterling cuff is expertly crafted by hand in Peru.”

This piece can be purchased for $139.95 and shipping was only $3.95!  When it arrived, I was speechless.  The bracelet was beautifully gift wrapped which would be great for gift giving.  The jewelry is well made, absolutely gorgeous, and looks amazing on my wrist (if I do say so myself!). I couldn’t be happier with my selection and the quality of the customer service at NOVICA.

hypothesis If you are looking for unique pieces of jewelry or items for your home that you just can’t find anywhere else, take a look at NOVICA.  This company associates with National Geographic in order to provide artists from around the world a platform to sell their beautiful pieces.  In addition, NOVICA is helping artisians by providing a microfinance option in order to provide loans to artists who need to expand their businesses.  In searching through the website, I was overwhelmed with the selection of pieces in all price ranges and was more than pleased with my selection.

Make sure you follow NOVICA on Twitter and Facebook so you don’t miss a thing!
