With both of my daughters, I was able to breastfeed them for around 6 months.  Upon my return to work, I was able to pump enough breastmilk to last a few more months, but I was very concerned about bottle feeding.  I searched for a bottle that would feel most like Mom but also had a stellar venting system as my little one suffered from a reflux disorder.  Our bottle days are now over (bittersweet, right?) but I would have loved to try out the new Similac SimplySmart Bottle system!

Have Fun With Original Donut Shop Coconut Mocha! {Keurig Giveaway}

Living in NOLA, it isn’t hard to believe that fun usually involves food.  Every party and every special occasion (yes, even funerals) revolves around the cuisine.  It is by no mistake that most family gatherings take place in the kitchen when you live in a City known for it’s food…and fun!  Our parties are loud and our food is spicy…New Orleanians have a zest for life that is unmatched in just about any other City.

When the parties are this good, you need a fun dessert to end the night.  Here, no party is complete with some traditional bread pudding, bananas foster or beignets served with the perfect cup of coffee.  In my home, we are attached to our Keurig Single Cup Brewer which provides fast and delicious K-Cup portion packs.  Over the past year, I have been fortunate enough to be a Green Mountain Coffee Ambassador which has allowed me to try a ton of different K-Cup portion pack flavors.  Our favorite by far, has been the Original Donut Shop varieties…who doesn’t love donuts?!

This month, we tried the brand new Original Donut Shop Coconut Mocha K-Cup portion packs.  My husband couldn’t wait to try it as he has loved all of the other Donut Shop flavors, and this one was not different!  He mentioned that the coconut was the dominant flavor so if you are not a fan of that taste, this is not the coffee for you.  The Original Donut Shop Coconut Mocha K-Cup portion packs will be available this April so you can make the call yourself!

The nails were very easy to stick on top of the girls’ real nails, although the nails are a bit big for my seven year old.  The size didn’t hinder her fun as she wore them all day long!  After playtime, the nails easily came off with warm water.  You can see more by watching this video!

Recently, the line introduced scented nails, too, in Blow Pop, Tootsie Roll and Gummy Bears…fun!  The entire line from The Wish Factory was released in February of 2012 and is currently being sold at Toys R’ Us for $7.99.

New Pampers Soft Care Baby Wipes {Year’s Supply Giveaway}

While my little ones are out of diapers (I secretly miss those tiny Pampers Swaddlers), you will find baby wipes in my grocery cart each and every week.  Gone are the days of messy diapers, but wipes definitely come in handy during spaghetti dinners or while creating an art masterpiece.  Not only do I use them on the girls, wipes are fabulous for cleaning creative spaces or the dinner table!

I have long been a fan of the Pampers Sensitive Wipes as we used them on my babies in the early days.  Since then, we have used the Soft Care wipes and I was thrilled to learn that they are now available in a new, pretty patterned container.

Get Beautiful with Freeman Beauty Products {Giveaway}

As a busy mom, I often find that I don’t do enough for myself.  One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to make more time for ME.  As I get older I am very conscious of my skin and its condition.  Recently, I was introduced to a great all-natural line of skincare from Freeman and found that this gave me exactly what I was looking for!  I can spend a little time taking care of myself while enjoying their products, which are also very budget-friendly!

Never used Freeman Products before?  They aren’t new to the market.  From the website:  “At Freeman, we live and breathe beauty. Freeman sent me a terrific package which included a sample of two of their clay masks and one peel-off mask, along with a great tote perfect for travel.  The first one I tried was the Detoxifying Chocolate-Strawberry mask and I’m in love!   It’s nice and thick in texture, but dries relatively quickly and leaves your skin feeling soft and clean.  It may, however, be detrimental to your diet because it smells INCREDIBLE.  The entire time I had it on my face all I could think about was diving into the Valentine’s candy.  :)

A few days later, I tried the cucumber peel-off mask and found it to have great benefits too.  It smells clean and fresh and rids your skin of yucky stuff that makes it less than perfect.   Freeman Beauty offers lots of other skincare products too, such as their incredible Avocado-Oatmeal mask, Creamy Apricot Scrub, and a Mint-Lemon clay mask.  You can find something to suit every skin type at Freeman Beauty!

Freeman also offers wonderful products for hair, body, hands, and feet.  The Freeman line is available at most local retailers and also online.   At some of the most reasonable prices around, you can enjoy many of Freeman’s products for the same price as just one bottle of some other products.  It’s definitely worth it!

HairThingz Hair Accessories {Giveaway}

As the Mom of two girls, you can only imagine what my bathroom looks like.  We have everything from brushes to detangler and ponytail holders to ribbons.  But despite the options, my girls will always struggle to decide what hairstyle they wish to wear to school….and will change their minds often.  This is quickly becoming my least favorite part of the day.

Recently, I was asked to try HairThingz with my daughters, a hair product like no other I have seen.  The “thingz” which look like spirals are made right here in the United States with recyclable, non-toxic polyethylene.  They come in packs of twelve in tons of fun colors like pink, purple, silver, red, orange and yellow (plus, I hear they are making glow in the dark ones, too!).

Each pack of HairThingz includes an instruction pamphlet to help you learn the proper way to use them and suggested hairstyles.  I tried them on my youngest daughter first who has very thick and curly hair that can be difficult to tame.  Since the Hairthingz for thick hair is not quite out yet, I decided to try two ponytails in her hair first.  After some practice, I was able to create a pretty cute ‘do.  In fact, I used two Hairthingz to create a candycane look which she loved.

I will admit that it takes a few tries to get used to placing them correctly in the hair, but once I got the hang of it, the process was simple.  My daughter wore her new hairstyle all day and they did not slip out at all….which says a LOT for an almost 4 year old!  I am looking forward to the HairThingz for thick hair and the new fun colors.
