I love the start of a new year. New beginnings, a fresh start, resolutions…..and then you get the holiday bills in the mail! UGH!
Like most families, my husband and I examine our budget every now and again and figure out ways we can trim the fat. One thing I promised myself I would start doing this year is using coupons at the grocery. The ones that come in the Sunday paper are good, but I found a great way to boost savings with My Savings.com!
From the website: “MySavings is an online community dedicated to bringing together consumers to share money saving tips and offers. We provide a comprehensive directory of brand name free samples, printable grocery coupons, online coupons, free stuff and freebies, and other discounts and deals so that consumers can save money on products they already buy and sample and discuss which products are right for them and their family.”
It just takes a few minutes to sign up for the Grocery Coupons e mail, and within a few minutes I found several coupons for things I buy weekly or bi-weekly at the store. Hurray! This is a free service and I liked how most of the product savings offered were Brand-name items that are commonly used in most households. My Savings also has a page for information on free samples that might be of interest to your household, and a forum where you can get money-saving tips and advice from other families working to save money as well, plus much more. Don’t miss a thing and follow them on Twitter, too! Your bank account will thank you!
