Give Your Dad Channellock for Father’s Day: Giveaway

What to give the man who has everything?  For my husband’s birthday this year, he requested a ginormous tool box.  To be honest, I wasn’t sure if he had a need for it, but it made him tremendously happy.  He actually has been using the tool box more than I thought he would, so I am thrilled to help him fill the box with quality tools. One of the companies that come to mind when I think of quality tools for the home is Channellock.  Are you familiar with the brand?

Founded in 1886, Channellock, Inc. is a worldwide leader in the manufacture of high-quality pliers and assorted hand tools. Based out of Meadville, Pa., the company is currently run by the fifth generation of the DeArment family. Channellock, Inc. manufactures more than 120 different sizes and types of pliers and hand tools, and all CHANNELLOCK® pliers are made in the Meadville plants.

Last year, he was fortunate enough to test out the Channellock VJ-1 Tool Gift Set and could not have been happier with the product.  This Father’s Day, in honor of Channellock’s 125th Anniversary, he couldn’t wait to test the Tool Roll No. 3!  About the product:

From plumbing projects to auto repair, Tool Roll No. 3 includes five pliers to help homeowners accomplish a variety of home improvement projects. All of the pliers in this set are fiercely made in Meadville, Pa. The tool roll includes: 430 tongue and groove plier, 420 tongue and groove plier, 337 cutting plier, 3017 long nose plier and a 526 slip joint plier.”

My first impression of the set (albeit from a novice handy-woman) was that it was neatly put together and easy to store.  The tools, which should be a standard in every household, are easy grab when an urgent or do-it-yourself project arises.  Sometimes portability is key! My husband decided he would try his handyman skills with his new Channellock Tool Roll by installing a new ceiling fan in my daughter’s room. He was impressed by the comfortable non-slip grip which made it easy to work on a fan above his head!

Channellock VJ-1 Tool Gift Set: Review and Giveaway

hypothesis The VJ-1 Tool Gift Set from Channellock will make a great gift for my husband for Father’s Day because he has been needing a few tools to complete an outdoor project.

One VJ-1 tool gift set including two popular tongue and groove pliers (422 and 412) and a procrastinated outdoor project.  About Channellock:

channellock“The bright CHANNELLOCK BLUE® Gripped tools are standard equipment in the tool belts, buckets and tool boxes of professional electricians, plumbers and mechanics all over the world. results Lots of products we receive here at Experimental Mommy are for the kids, so my husband and I love when we get a chance to review products for ourselves!  Channellock was nice enough to send my husband the VJ-1 Tool Gift Set which includes the following from the press release:

Two popular tongue & groove pliers, the 422 and the 412.The 412 V-Jaw Plier is the newest to the Channellock line — the perfect size for smaller jobs at 6.5 inches. Handy dads (and moms) will go nuts for this new tool, which is designed for access to smaller spaces. During the product launch, several DIY-savvy dads found an endless list of uses for the 412. And the 422 is a 9.5-inch V-Jaw tongue & groove plier, which completes the perfect set of tools for any Father.

VJ-1My husband, being the handy one in the house, was the first to open the package and dive into finding project to use his new toys.  We purchased a swing set for our daughters last summer and they have enjoyed it!  However, we needed to make some adjustments to add accessories this year.  In order to install a two person glider on the swingset, my hubby used the 412 pliers to hold several nuts in place while driving a bolt with a 24 volt impact driver.  Even though he already knew the quality provided by Channellock, he was surprised that the smaller pliers did not slip given the large amount of torque supplied by the impact driver.

hypothesis

My husband absolutely loved the VJ-1 Tool Gift Set supplied by Channellock!  The pliers provided unlimited uses for project around the house and outdoors.  My husband loves the Channellock brand and found that these tools were no different.

Happy Father’s Day!

My Dad is a wonderful man. While we definitely have butted heads in the past, I think it is mainly because we are too much alike. He has always encouraged me to reach my full potential and did anything he could to give me the push I needed to get there. I am so thankful to have him in my life. Not only is he a great Dad, but a loving Grandfather to my two girls, who affectionately call him “Pops.”

Happy Father’s Day, Dad! I love you!  I’ll always be your little girl!

To my husband: Even when we were dating back in college, I knew you would make a good father someday (not that we were in any hurry to become parents!).  But, I had no idea that you were born to be a Dad.  You are so loving, patient, kind (yet stern), encouraging and nurturing to our two daughters.  They are so lucky to have you, and while they are too young to realize that now, I know by the time you walk them down the aisle, they will hold every man in their lives to your standard.  You already treat them like princesses and I hope one day they are writing a similar letter to their soulmate.  I loved you as a boy, as a man, as a fiance, as a husband and now as a father.  Happy Father’s Day, Randy!
