Dress Up Your Doll for the Holidays! {Giveaway}

My daughters are surrounded with electronics these days. Between the iPad, Leapster, Nintendo DS and Wii, my girls have the opportunity to be “plugged in” for both educational and interactive play. That being said, the majority of their time is actually spent in imaginative play with their wooden kitchen, playsets, dress up costumes and baby dolls.

They love to dress up their dolls for bedtime, dance classes, school and even playdates with each other. And now that the holidays are upon us (where did the time go?), the dolls must be festively dressed. My daughters were excited to receive the Modern Christmas Collection which included three outfits for an 18″ doll. The set includes candy cane pajama tee shirt, plaid pants, red slippers, headband, sweater, red dress, black shoes, gingerbread tee shirt, skirt, black leggings, brown boots, and an adorable teddy bear! The outfits were well made and very cute (I love the brown boots!). While the clothes are made to fit the Today’s Girl Dolls from Constructive Playthings, they did fit my daughters’ standard 18″ dolls (however, the shoes were a very snug fit). Now, the dolls in my home are festive and ready for the holiday parties!

Princess Time Toys: Review

I can hardly believe that tomorrow starts the holiday season of 2010! I generally start planning my budget and gift giving strategy on November 1st, so it is time to put my thinking cap on! Of course, my first priority is my girls, so I have begun asking them what they want Santa to bring them. My oldest is quite simple….everything American Girl.

Lily recently got her first My American Girl Doll and has done nothing but circle doll clothes and accessories in every catalog that has come in the mail. While we definitely have some of these items on Santa’s list, I have been searching for other doll clothes that will fit this doll. Fortunately, we had the opportunity to take a look at the doll clothes at Princess Time Toys. About Princess Time Toys:

We received an adorable top and capri set to review that is similar to this purple butterfly set that is currently being sold on the website for $22.99. The doll clothes sold at Princess Time Toys can fit up to an 18″ doll such as the American Girl dolls and it did indeed fit my daughter’s doll perfectly. The Polliwog garden sandals are precious and are my daughter’s favorite part of the ensemble! As a Mom, I like that the clothes are well made and age appropriate. The selection on the website is phenomenal, too. My daughter already has her eye on a few outfits such as the Red Velvet Christmas Dress.
