Disney Social Media Moms Celebration has begun!

Jennifer and I landed today in Orlando for the Disney Social Media Mom’s Conference. The flight was great (we even got here 15 minutes early thanks to a hefty tailwind!) and Jennifer can finally say that she has ridden in an airplane! After making our way to the Polynesian, we headed straight for the Magic Kingdom in search of lunch. We ate a quick counter service meal, grabbed a map and navigated Main Street. It’s a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain and Peter Pan were so much fun! Did I mention that we were given Media Fast Passes that allows us to instantly ride any Fast Pass ride at Disney? Sweet!
For dinner, we headed to ESPN’s Wide World of Sports for a “What’s New, What’s Next” presentation. We listened to all the amazing new things Disney has planned for the future. This Summer, Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade will be back to light up the night along with “Summer Nightastic” fireworks. And the announcement that really got my attention is the launch of a new addition to the Disney Cruise line, the Disney Dream. This ship will feature a waterslide on board called the Aquaduck which features a transparent tube which will give guests an incredible view of the Ocean. This thing is un-freakin-believable. Hey Disney, if you need someone to test out that new ship…I am your girl!
After the presentation, we were treated to a tailgating party complete with hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, cotton candy and more! This tailgating party turned into a dance party!
Jennifer and I are now back in our room and EXHAUSTED, but looking forward to Day 2!

While I paid for transportation, park tickets and accommodations were provided at a discounted rate.
The Princess and the Frog Soundtrack: Review and Giveaway
Being that I am a native New Orleanian, I absolutely could not wait to take my daughter to see the new Disney movie, “The Princess and the Frog.” The movie, set in New Orleans, is a modern spin on a classic fairytale creating hilarious moments as a frog prince attempts to become human again. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie! It was such fun to see our City in animation and we toe-tapped our way into the lobby and through the parking lot when the movie was over. The music in the movie made us feel quite at home here in New Orleans!
About the Soundtrack:
“The collection of magical songs from this amazing soundtrack features Anika Noni Rose(Dreamgirls), Ne-Yo(R&B music star) and Academy Award® winning composer Randy Newman. Set in the great city of New Orleans, the sounds of Jazz, Zydeco, Blues, Gospel and more are all present for an unforgettable musical experience the entire family will enjoy!”
Some of our favorite songs include “Almost There” performed by Anika Noni Rose as Tiana, the main character and “Down in New Orleans” by local artist, Dr. John. This is definitely a fun album for you and your kids!

Great Gift Ideas from Disney Toys!
My oldest daughter is about to turn 5 years old and if she could ask for only one thing for Christmas, it would probably be Hannah Montana. No, not a Hannah Montana CD or DVD, but the ACTUAL Hannah Montana! She absolutely loves Hannah, so I am hoping a few Disney Hannah Montana Toys will suffice for the Holidays.
She has also asked for an iPod, and while I think she is a bit young for the iPod, I was fortunate to run across the Disney Mix Lights, a digital audio player for kids. By visiting Mix Central, you can download your child’s favorite Disney songs (from artists such as Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Mitchel Musso), TV episodes and music videos and sync them right to the MP3 Player. With 2 GB memory, the Mix Lights can hold up to 1,000 songs and comes with everything you need to get started including a rechargeable battery and ear buds. The Disney Mix Lights also pulses lights to the beat of the music to add more fun and flair for your child. Purchase this great holiday gift at Toys R’ Us for only $39.99!
Another great gift option for your little Hannah Montana fan, if the Disney Hannah Montana Folding Scooter from Huffy!
It features a rear fender foot brake, comfortable foam grips, transparent pop stark sparkle wheels, and vibrant fun and flirty Hannah Montana Graphics. How fun! The scooter can be purchased from Toys R’ Us for only $24.99! I think it may take some practice, by Lily will get the hang of this thing quickly. I love the fact that this scooter folds up for easy storage and is height adjustable (Lily is on the shorter side).
All done with big gifts and just looking for stocking stuffers? The Toy Story Buddy Packs and Cars Die Cast cars sell for under $10 and are a hot item this season! And don’t forget the new movie, “The Princess and the Frog” was just released! We plan to get Lily some movie tickets for her stocking!
Happy Shopping!
