My name is Bridgette and I am the creator/writer/mastermind behind The Not-So-Blog. Because I am a Lab Tech by day, I have a natural inclination to inquire about how things work and how I can make them work for me and my family. I started blogging in July of 2008 to discover the hottest items to make this working Mom’s life easier! I never intended for my blog to really take off (let alone have loyal readers!), hence the name The Not-So-Blog. As it turns out, I really enjoy writing and my blog started to evolve into a real life blog. Now, I am a The Experimental Mommy. My blog was featured in the LA Times and you can see me in action on the Good Morning New Orleans show on ABC 26! Recently, I was honored to be mentioned in the new book “Mom Blogging for Dummies” by Wendy Piersall.
In addition, my writing has been featured on both KRAFT and Nestle Family microsites. I am also Brand Ambassadors for Pampers, Green Mountain Coffee K-Cup portion packs, LifeLock, Whirlpool, Microsoft Windows, Ubisoft and Constructive Playthings.
I am the co-founder of an ad and review blog network along with Cecelia from Cool Baby Kid. By creating The Double Duty Divas, we have assembled some of the most reliable, thorough, and trafficked review bloggers on the Internet! Our network has grown into blog consulting as we now offer to manage product review/giveaway campaigns and hold interesting Twitter parties for our clients. Cecelia and I have had the honor of speaking together on a panel at Blog World Expo in Las Vegas in October of 2010.
From the Double Duty Divas, LLC grew our latest venture, Reviewer’s Retreat Blog Conference. In partnership with The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens, we are offering the first and only blog conference geared towards bloggers in the product review genre. Our third annual conference will be held in June of 2013.
Personally, I am a full time Mom who works outside of the home as a lab technician (I am also a full blown science geek). I have two beautiful daughters (ages 5 and 8) who help me with reviews whenever possible. My husband and I live happily in Southeast Louisiana.
