Fueling My Morning with Quaker Shakes {Giveaway}

This post was created in partnership with Quaker. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

With two school-aged children, morning is anything but peaceful.  Once the alarm wakes us from our comfy beds, it is a race to get everyone dressed, lunches made, schoolbags packed and to school on time.  While I would love to say that I wake up extra early to cook a lovely breakfast for my girls, it is just not reality.

Because we are so pressed for time, I am always on the lookout for a nutritious, filling and quick breakfast that my family and I will enjoy.  Thankfully, I was recently introduced to Quaker Breakfast Shakes.  Made with Quaker oats, these shakes contain 8g of whole grain, 10g of protein and 6g of fiber not to mention they come in three delicious flavors.

My daughters spotted the chocolate variety first (they inherited my love of all things chocolate) and couldn’t wait to give it a try.  I actually split one bottle of Quaker Shakes between the two of them and they were satisfied and full.  Hubby and I tried the strawberry and vanilla, but chocolate was definitely the winner in our home.

Want to give them a try?  Print this $2 off coupon and grab your own bottles of Quaker Shakes to fuel your morning routine.  Even better? Win a $25 Walmart gift card right here at Experimental Mommy so you can create your own little stockpile of Quaker Shakes at home!  Enter below:

  1. I manage my mornings very peaceful n slow since I am at work every morning by 6:00 am. I usually eat my chobani Greek yogurt with a little granola mixed in around 8:00 after my 2 cups of coffee!!

  2. I make sure everyone is up when they should be and getting ready for the day ahead; not stressful.

  3. I manage busy mornings by trying to do things ahead of time like laying out clothes, or putting what I need to take with me on the kitchen counter next to the door ready to go. I also manage busy mornings by grabbing something quick to eat like a breakfast bar that I can eat on the go.

  4. I try to keep things simple and do lots of prep the evening before, like get clothes ready, set the coffee pot up, etc.

  5. I try to handle my busy mornings by pre-packing everyone’s lunches the night before so there is less stress in the morning.

  6. It’s a blur! I mostly rely on the routine to get me through. If the routine takes a hit, then I’m in trouble!

  7. I make sure I have everything ready the night before, so we aren’t scrambling in the morning to find stuff.

  8. I write a ‘to-do’ list every day with the goals that I want to accomplish for that day. I find that I honestly get more done this way than when I do not make a list.

  9. I make sure to have our outfits all ready the night before. I make sure to have all lunches ready the night before. We do not watch and TV in the morning because this causes us to not get stuff done. And I get up 20 minutes early to make a good healthy breakfast.

  10. I get up 15 minutes before everyone else.
It gives me time for coffee and patience before I wake my dd up.
Her and I are NOT morning people 😉

  11. We usually plan our mornings the night before, but I am usually out of the house when the kids wake up and all of the real fun starts.

  12. I am pretty organized and things usually go pretty smoothly in the AM-after my coffee anyway.

  13. Usually I manage best by doing some prep the night before and waking up before everyone else to get the wheels in motion for the day!

  14. I make sure to prepare as much as possible the day before, such as lying out my clothes for the next day.

  15. …very poorly, anymore! lol Good thing there aren’t that many… but I kinda miss them anyway…

  16. I lay out everyone’s clothes for the next day and I have the coffee pot set to automatic so there is no waiting around to get my jolt going.

  17. I get up early. That lets me enjoy my coffee, check the email and enjoy breakfast before my family staggers into the kitchen.

  18. I manage our busy mornings by preparing what I can the night before after the kids are in bed… and then I get up before everyone else to have a tiny bit of quiet time, get myself ready for the day and start breakfast for the kids before they are up.

  19. Not very well!!!! I try to decide what I’m wearing the night before, and have my breakfast ready.

  20. Since I am retired I don’t have a rushed morning like most of you. But I have always had to have a cup of coffee before I could get going.

  21. I make sure no one speaks to me for at least 30 minutes after I wake and I follow a routine. I’m a creature of habit.

  22. I get up a little earlier than the girls and do a load of laundry, fix lunches and get out their clothes for the day. This makes it easier for when I do get them up. Thank you!

  23. I keep a check off list on the fridge so that I leave the house with everything I need for my commute.

  24. I’m a list maker! It keeps me on top of what I should be doing all day long – including the mornings!

  25. I love to get as much ready the night before as possible and also go to bed with the house fairly clean.

  26. I manage the morning with coffee! My husband helps to get the kids dressed for me too so that I don’t have to worry about that part of the morning for them!

  27. Oh I try to get done as much as I can at night…so we are ready in the morning! Makes it go a bit smoother for me!

  28. I just try to do as much organizing the night before. And, I use a timer to keep my kids on task.

  29. I try to organize as much as I can the night before. It makes the morning run more smoothly.

  30. I try to stick to a routine, but honestly, I am usually running around trying to get everything together every morning.

  31. First, going to bed at a decent time so I can get up in the morning. Second, just sticking to a time schedule – coffee, breakfast by 7. Dressed, teeth, hair – no TV.

  32. I love to get as much done the night before to make mornings smoother.

  33. I lay out everything the night before. We have clothes laid out, backpacks packed, and lunches made and waiting in the fridge. The shoes and coats are by the door.

  34. I am not awake in the morning so I usually don’t have anything to manage. I work from home as a web designer and I don’t have kids so I usually work (or mess around on the computer) until 3 or 4 AM and then sleep until noon. When I wake up, I eat breakfast, check my email and watch some CNN. I get dressed around 1 or 2 PM and get to work around 2:30. I work for a few hours before stopping for a supper break. I watch a few of my favorite TV shows or do some housework for an hour or two after supper before getting back to work. I work until I get bored and then mess around on the computer until I’m tired and ready for bed. If I did happen to have a meeting in the morning (very rare), then I make sure everything I need is set out the night before.

  35. I manage my busy mornings by preparing my sons things for school the night before – and when I first wake up I start a pot of coffee! That always helps me to wake up.

  36. Same as the others mainly..plan the night before and get up earlier to make sure it all goes smoothly and not feel so rushed!

  37. Mornings are crazy at our house. I always fix their lunch the night before to help save time.

  38. Layout clothes the night before, pack lunches if needed, and put backpacks, etc. near the door so we can grab-and-go. Thank you for the giveaway!

  39. we manage them just minute by minute as best as we can lol then we enjoy a hot cup coffee and breath for minute and off again lol

  40. One way is to have a daily breakfast schedule and plenty of fresh fruit on hand for the mornings

  41. We rotate…while one is in the shower, the other eats, etc. That way we’re not in each other’s way 🙂

  42. I manage busy mornings by knowing exactly what I have to do, and what time I have to wake up to make it happen. I also always make sure to eat breakfast!

  43. with easy pre-prepared breakfast sandwiches! make a bunch at once, pop them in the toaster each day, good to go!

  44. I make sure I get everything (well, Almost everything) ready the night before. And a strong cup of coffee!

  49. I try to as much as I can the night before so the mornings are not as hectic and I don’t forget things

  50. I try to do as much as I can the night before. I have my children pick out their clothes the night before and I pack up their lunchboxes because it gets pretty busy with a family of 6.

  51. I make breakfast the night before and I wake up earlier than my family to get prepared for the morning.

  52. i get up earlier than everyone else so i have time to get ready in the mornings without the distractions.

  53. I usually don’t plan, I multi task every morning and the one thing I do forget to do is eat. These would be great for on the go.

  54. I think everything out the night before. Then, when I get out of bed and have my morning coffee, I already have a plan.

  55. I don’t have too many busy mornings anymore, but when I do I take out my clothes I’m going to wear the night before.

  56. I don’t really manage my mornings. That is probably why I never get to eat breakfast until lunch time.
