One of my daughter’s favorite activities has always been imaginative play.  Whether she is being creative with crayons, construction paper, beads or blocks, she puts all of her imagination into the activity.  Now that she is 5 (and a half as she would say), she loves a challenge so I knew the Mega Bloks Barbie Build ‘n Play Super Star Stage would be a hit.  About the item:

When the box arrived and we began sorting the pieces, I will admit that I was a bit overwhelmed.  It was a LOT of pieces and I knew immediately this would be a fun activity to spend some quality time with my daughter.  Fortunately, the set comes with a large instruction booklet that is very well illustrated.  My 5 year old was able to follow the instructions with some supervision.

We took it slow to make sure that we followed the instructions correctly.  My daughter took charge and was really proud of the finished product!  All of the pieces were included and the product worked exactly as described.  Now, it was time for the real fun to begin!

The stage is set and now my daughter can let her imagination run wild as Barbie and her rocker friends, Teresa and Raquelle put on an incredible show complete with flashing lights, music, disco ball, stage elevator and instruments.  Mode One lets you start up the real multi-color flashing lights and change between four different songs while Mode Two lets you choose the music by playing your favorite songs on the radio while the flashing lights keep the beat.

  13. My daughter loves to draw and paint and do all kinds of arts and crafts. She makes up stories and draws pictures to go with them.

  42. The girl I watch either loves playing barbies/dolls and creating scenarios for them or (re)creating craft projects she did at school. She is in first grade but for the past year I think I’ve made every single craft she has done at school 🙂 It’s amazing how she just comes up with the materials and makes it work!
