KEEN Footwear Satisfies My Little Fashionista

Even though the temperatures are still in the 90’s here in New Orleans, I know that Fall is just around the corner.  It’s time to start surveying the wardrobe and seeing which clothes fit and which need to passed on to little sis.  Of course, now that my oldest daughter is seven, she has proclaimed herself a fashionista.  My little girl that used to love frilly dresses and pretend play costumes is now all about skinny jeans, glitter headbands and boots.

As you can imagine, she was thrilled to receive the new Darby boot from KEEN Footwear to begin her Fall fashion finds.  I actually purchased a pair of Keen shoes for myself to keep my feet comfy on a recent trip to Disney World.  I knew about the reputation of KEEN and love their “HybridLife” mantra which explains:

Our commitment to create solutions in our product and business practices, to design footwear, bags and socks that enable you to play anyplace without a ceiling; and our promise to care for each other and the world around us.

I was very impressed with the quality of the shoes I purchased from KEEN, so I was excited to check out their shoes for girls.  The Darby boot retails for $70 and includes a leather and synthetic upper with a flannel collar as well as a medial side zipper for easy on and off.  We received the black boot with the pink plaid collar with which my daughter immediately feel in love.  For a boot, the shoe was very light and seems like it would be easy to play freely.  The soles are flexible and durable so I am not worried she will slip on the playground.  My daughter wears a size 13 and they are slightly big but I think with thick winter socks, she will be just fine.

The Darby boot comes in sizes youth 1-6 and toddler 8-13.  And check out the snazzy purple color, too!  Don’t miss any KEEN news by following them on Facebook and Twitter.

This post is the opinion of the Experimental Mommy.  While I received a sample to facilitate this review, all opinions remain 100% mine.

  1. Those are adorable boots! My daughter wears women sizes in shoes, so I’m checking to see if there’s something similar for her. We’re hoping to go to Kansas for the holidays and we don’t have boots.
