Celebrate the 4th of July with Rayovac

This week, the weather here in New Orleans has broken a few records.  With temperatures topping 100 degrees, many NOLA natives are heading indoors to soak up the air conditioning.  But with the 4th of July just around the corner, my family decided to brave the heat and take our party to a local park.

Armed with sunglasses, sunblock, lawn chairs and plenty of water, we headed to the park to enjoy time with family and friends.  The kids had a blast feeding the ducks, playing soccer and taking a ride on the swingset while the adults preferred to stay in the shade (and take advantage of the delicious watermelon).  To make the day more bearable, we decided to bring our personal misters we bought for our recent Disney World trip.

If you have an outdoor event anytime soon, I would highly recommend investing in a few of these.  Filled with ice water and powered by Rayovac Alkaline batteries, we were able to keep cool in the Summer heat while we celebrated our family and the 4th of July.  Because of the heat, I knew that we would be using our misters nonstop, so I packed an extra set of batteries just in case.  But, the Rayovac brand stood up to the challenge and lasted not only for our entire Disney trip, but during our party as well.  Since the Rayovac alkaline batteries are Made in the USA, they were a perfect fit to help us stay cool during our pre-4th celebration!

The girls took turns spraying the reunion guests (and even other people in line at Disney) and the cool water was a huge hit with everyone.  If you need to get powered up this 4th of July, stock up on the American made Rayovac Alkaline batteries so you don’t get stuck in the heat!  Now through July 8th, you can save $10 on the Rayovac alkaline battery bundle by using the promo code INDEPENDENCE at checkout which includes free shipping on orders over $25!
