Zaycon Foods: Buy Big and Save Big {Giveaway}

As a busy mom, I am always looking for ways to simplify my life.  One of the things I dread each week is grocery shopping.  I often wish the groceries would just magically appear at my house.  I recently found out with Zaycon foods, this is possible!

Never heard of Zaycon foods before?  From the website:  “We combine the buying power of many families together, enabling us to negotiate huge savings on food purchases for your family…..We sell only what we eat ourselves—high quality, healthy food. Our focus is on a select number of commonly consumed food items such as fresh meats like chicken, beef, turkey, pork and fish.”

Zaycon Foods delivered a 40 pound case of chicken breasts to me recently.  Their chicken is 100% natural with no hormones, additives, or artificial ingredients, which is important to me.  In addition, it has never been frozen.  All I had to do was open the case and separate the meat into freezer bags portioned to what we would need for a meal.  The chicken was generously sized and easy to divide up.  When I was done, I had enough chicken for about 13 meals for my family of 4, not counting possible leftovers from each meal.  The first meal I cooked with it was for a new recipe I found called Crunchy Seasoned Chicken and the kids loved it!

Crunchy Seasoned Chicken

This is a super-easy recipe using things you probably already have in the fridge or pantry.  My kids LOVED it.

This is actually 4 Zaycon breasts cut in half! They are generous in size!

Combine 1/2 cup sour cream, 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice, 1 1/2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce, 1 1/2 teaspoons celery salt, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.

Brush this mixture onto 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts.  Cover and refrigerate overnight.   When ready to prepare, combine 1 3/4 cup cracker crumbs (I used Ritz) with 1 1/2 tsp Paprika.  Roll chicken in this mixture and place in a greased baking dish.  Drizzle with 2 Tablespoons melted butter or margarine and bake at 350 for one hour, uncovered.

The meat was lean, cooked beautifully, and was very tender.  Knowing that I have a surplus of chicken breasts already in the freezer has made grocery planning and shopping easier.  I cannot wait to try more of what Zaycon has available, as I was so impressed with the chicken that surely all they have to offer is as great in quality and value.  Zaycon offers a fantastic customer satisfaction policy to ensure everyone is happy!

I love the possibility of picking out a few things to order during the next event and dividing the food and cost up amongst a few friends.  This is a great way to get a variety of product at a very low cost.  I am especially interested in their seasonal fruit as my children both love all fruit and this is one of the higher-priced things on my grocery list each week.   Zaycon foods also offers an incredible referral program.  For each person you refer that places an order, Zaycon will credit you $1.00.  This can be used towards future purchases of their products.   Zaycon Foods is definitely a company worth looking into to see how purchasing from them can benefit your family.

  1. I’m torn between fruit or meat items like beef or chicken!! Both would be a huge savings and something always needed.

  2. I read where Zaycon is coming to Pensacola by the end of the year (WOOT!), so if lucky enough to win, I will be stocking up on ground beef!

  3. I would get chicken. I joined the site, but I could not find the place to view each of the products and their prices.
