Cooking with Coke: T-Fal Giveaway

After college, I entered Graduate School to pursue a Master’s Degree in Biology.  To what do I credit my success?  My determination? Nope. My study skills?  Nope.  My parents?  Well, maybe a little.  In all honesty, Coke helped me more than anything! I can’t even begin to count how many days were started with an ice cold can of Coke and ended with an equally yummy glass of Coke.  It kept me going through long nights of study groups, weekend research sessions and the dreaded exam day.

Coke is a staple here in the South.  In fact, we generally refer to any soda as “Coke.”  But did you know that you could cook with it, too?!?  In order to get families excited about coming together at the table, Coca-Cola recently launched the “Cooking With Coke” website as a place for fans to share recipes, stories and mealtime traditions.  Take a minute to browse through the recipes or upload one of your very own to share (Coke doesn’t even need to be an ingredient in order for you to share with the online community).  After looking through the site, I found some recipes I would love to try in my kitchen including the lemon and garlic hummus and the Easy Coca Cola BBQ (perfect for 4th of July!). If you find a bunch of recipes that you love, you can even compile and print your own custom cookbook or let two famous chefs inspire you to bring your family together and create lasting mealtime memories.

Ok so In my household we do not like ricotta cheese at all.. I have to think about everyone when making pasta dishes or any food for that matter takes a lot of research and hit or miss dishes
    Ingredients
I use 1 lb of ground hamburger meat fully cooked, The ready to use lasagna noodles- any brand, Prego spaghetti sauce flavored with meat is my favorite and I miz mozzeralla and cheddar chesse together.
    Preparation
Ground 1 lb. of ground beef in a frying pan and drain, Next add the spaghetti sauce to the hamburger meat and simmer
After this use a thin layer of this mixture in the bottom of the pan and add a lasagna noodle- enough to cover the entire bottom of the pan. Add more of the meatsauce mixture and then sprinkle with chesse- you will continue doing this- Depending on how much you love cheese is depending how much to use I use 1 pack of mozzerella and 1 pack of cheddar cheese- mixed in a bowl and scatter- You will keep layering this like a pie until you reah the top of the pan cheese needs to be on the top- cover with alumnium foil- I prefer putting aluminium foil on the bottom as well for easy clean up. Heat the oven to 400 Degrees and follow the cooking instructions on the lasagna noodle box as each company has their own cook times. I removed the foil like 10 minutes before it is done as I like the cheese to be a lttle brown. To each their own. Remove it from the over and either serve immediately (what I do) or you can let it cool using 1 lb mean, one pack of noodles and 1 pack of each cheeses would easily serve a family of four. This is amazing. I love the taste and I do not have to have the ricotta so it makes me super happy
