Plan your Meals with Say Mmm!

My husband and I have little time to create a spectacular meal in the evenings because we both work full time outside the home.  Recently, we have been trying to plan our meals for the week ahead of time in order to avoid the “fast food trap.”  If we get the majority of food prep and cooking done on the weekends, the evenings run so much smoother and a healthy dinner is on the table in no time.

Even though our goal is to plan, plan and plan some more, we don’t always succeed.  So, I was excited to check out Say Mmm, a great online meal planning resource.  From their website:

Say Mmm is designed to help you decide what to eat and get what you need. The service offers free tools for planning meals, organizing recipes, and shopping for groceries. A few of the things we believe are:

  • Stress less – More time should be spend enjoying food than worrying about it
  • Plan smart – Simple planning and organizing tools help save time and money
  • Discover easily – It should be easier to discover and share cooking and dining ideas

Say Mmm was founded by Brian Hutchins and is based in Sunnyvale, CA. The team has previous experience at Google, Yahoo, Colgate Palmolive, and various start ups.”

After signing up for the FREE account, I started taking a look around Say Mmm.  I have to say that my favorite feature is the meal planning calendar.  You can easily type your meal ideas in to the days of the week and plan your meals for the week!  Tired of the same old dishes?  Browse the list of meal suggestions!  Have a recipe you are particularly proud of?  Use the Share feature to brag to your family and friends!  Tired of cooking?  Use the search feature to find a restaurant near you!

Say Mmm Plus is also available for a small fee for those longing for more features including calorie counting.  And if you are a food blogger, you must check out the Grocery Lists for Blogs!  Using this feature, you can create printable lists for your readers which are even customizable.  What an awesome benefit for your readers!

Don’t miss a beat!  Follow Say Mmm on Twitter and Facebook (there are some yummy Thanksgiving recipes featured right now) today!
