Before Hurricane Katrina, I had a decent kitchen. I wasn’t in love with it, but remodeling a kitchen takes a fairly large budget, which as first time home buyers, we didn’t have. Along comes one heck of a storm and destroys what merit my kitchen actually had. When the insurance adjuster arrived, they actually said that they could pay to replace my bottom cabinets, but not my top ones. Huh? Has anyone ever tried to match cabinets that were made in the 80’s? Not gonna happen. So, we had to spend insurance money on replacing ALL the cabinets which left little for appliances. Today, I love my new cabinets, like loooove them. But, my appliances are stuck in the past.
