Nestle Family Virtual Halloween Party: Juicy Juice Party Ideas!

My girls are just starting to really get into the Halloween traditions. Dressing up and going trick or treating are our usual holiday highlights. But ever since my husband and I were married, we have made it a tradition to go to the pumpkin patch and carve a pumpkin together. Once we had children, we had even more fun by having them help us select the all important family pumpkin.

The pumpkin has become a centerpiece during this holiday in more ways than one! Because our kids are little, they can be quite scared of this holiday as well, so we have sought out non-scary parties for them to attend. Their favorite one has been a pumpkin carving party! Each child brought a pumpkin and the party hosts provided templates, paints, glitter, stickers….everything the kids needed to let their imaginations run wild. The party guests showed up in costume and the carving began!

Are you planning on having a Halloween party this year? If you are looking for fun and unique party ideas, check out this Juicy Juice recipe from Nestle:

Bone Chillin’ Brew

What you need
  • 3 cups of water
  • 3 clear plastic gloves
  • 3 rubber bands or twist ties

  • 1 can (12 fl. oz.) of frozen lemonade concentrate, slightly thawed
  • 4 cans (12 fl. oz. each) of lemon-lime soda, chilled
How to do it

FOR FLOATING HANDS:

POUR water into gloves, adding enough water to fill the gloves loosely but not so full that the fingers will not move. Fasten gloves with rubber bands or twist ties. Line baking sheet with paper towels. Place filled gloves on paper towels. Freeze for 3 hours or until firm.

FOR PUNCH:
COMBINE Juicy Juice and lemonade concentrate in large punch bowl. Gradually stir in soda. Carefully cut gloves off hands with scissors. Float hands in punch.

  3. One of my favorite memories is of a party my parents had when we were little. They had all my Aunts, Uncles & cousins over. We had so much fun. We played games, everyone got dressed up and my Uncle even played his guitar & sang. What fun.

  5. As an adult, I went to a party where EVERYBODY was dressed up which was really cool because so often I’ve experienced people not wanting to dress up as adults. C’mon people…it’s Halloween! It’s FUN!

  6. Last Halloween I made pumpkin bread which the kids has so much fun decorating with frosting to make it look like a witch and broomstick!

  7. I have two favorite Halloween Memories. Me and my brothers had this one neighbor who would always give us a Whole candy bar of Halloween,Needless to say we went to see them first every year until they moved. The second memory is of a Halloween party my mother put on for us one year, It was all decked out with “lady fingers” and green chip dip.. that my brothers would not touch. Apparently if you add Green food coloring to normal french onion dip it made it taste different to them! ( I didn’t have that problem!)

  8. Last year was great!! We moved to the area just a year earlier, but we had a bunch of our new friends over. It felt so good to have families that felt more like our family than just friends. The kids were running around all dressed up. It was fantastic.

  9. My fav. Halloween party memory was when my Dad dressed up as Santa making everyone laugh. It was so funny!

  10. like you ‘n Juicy Juice on fb as susan wiener ‘n told them you sent me.

  11. I don’t know if it is my favorite but it was memorable. My elementary school did Halloween up big. I must have been in the 2nd grade and wanted to go to the haunted house but my mom did not want to go. She asked a lady to take me and as soon as I walked in and saw a woodsman chop off his hand with an ax and the hand rolled over to me, I screamed and went back out the front.

  18. My favorite Halloween party memory was actually making homemade rootbeer. I cannot remember too much more than it wasn’t our home, it was before 7, but I remember thinking the steam coming off of the dry ice was like a witches brew.

  22. When I was little I loved Ragedy Ann. I had a huge 4ft doll and one year we put her clothes on my, got a mop and died it red and put the bottom part of the mop on my head and did my face like hers. I was Raggedy Ann and I looked very authentic. That was so much fun.

  23. For 7 years, when my sister and I were teenagers, we would invite all the kids we always babysat for a Halloween party and trick or treating. There were about 10 to 15 kids each year. We would wear costumes too and first
take them trick or treating and then the party at our house. We would have ‘foggy’ punch (w/dry ice) and a ghost cake with glowing eyes! After the party, we checked all the kids’ candy to make sure it was safe. Parents loved this so much they would start calling in early October to see if we were having the party again! 😉

  35. I was in high school and a part of the party was to go to a spook house. I did not know that one of my friends was afraid of chainsaws. When a zombie started a chainsaw my friend literally climbed up my body and was practically on my shoulders before I figured out what happened. Good thing I was tall and she was a petit girl or I would have fell over. Could not peel her off of me until we were out of there.

  36. Every Halloween we use to go over the Grandmas & Grandpas first. They use to have fresh glazed dounuts, hot spiced cider. I swear to you those donuts were the best I have ever tasted n my life.

Every one went all over the building, commenting on costumes and decorations. My costume and ‘decorations’ (saddle) got tons of comments! Too funny, considering that was how I dressed most of the time when not at work, and the saddle was mine, and well used!
