Douglas Cuddle Toys: Review and Giveaway

Almost every kid I know has his or her favorite stuffed animal to love on.  Both of my kids have held on to their “Loveys” and won’t part with them.  I often try to find a cute and snuggly object to give as a baby shower or first birthday gift.  I recently discovered Douglas Cuddle Toys and found out it is one-stop shopping for almost every animal in the kingdom!

Why choose Douglas Cuddle Toys?  From the website:  ” DOUGLAS COMPANY has been a family-owned business for over 50 years (since 1956). We are proud of our “Old New England Work Ethic” and our able staff, some of whom have been with us for 20 and 30 years. Our success comes from our unique designs and high quality materials and craftsmanship. Our animals have gestures and expressions that clearly distinguish them as Douglas. Our faces evoke a sense of endearment.”

Em’s favorite animal since she has been teeny tiny is cats.  Big, small, striped, or solid, she loves everything about them and has a million cat books, stickers, toys…you get the idea.  So she was thrilled when she received the Niki Brown Tabby Cat.  The cat is precious and Emily was immediately attached to “Max” and has played with him daily ever since.  “Max” has been given a leash, swung on the backyard swings, and been dressed in doll clothes.  I like how the cat is well made and well stitched, so I don’t have to worry about him not standing up to daily play.

Em and "Max."

Cats not your child’s thing?  Douglas Cuddle Toys has dozens of dogs, dinosaurs, and even plush purses for your little divas to play with!  Looking for a baby gift? Douglas Cuddle Toys has Snugglers, which I can personally vouch are GREAT for babies as Em recieved a pink lamb when she was born and packed “Lolie” everywhere she went.    You can’t go wrong with something from Douglas Cuddle Toys!  There’s so much to pick from, you might have to start calling your house a zoo!

  1. 1852 James Black Lab, My daughter would LOVE this Black Lab! We moved into a new place and could not keep our black lab and this one looks just like her! My daughter is 3 and misses her dog! 🙁

  2. I believe it would be 1333 Tan Pup Lil’ Snuggler or really any of the other Lil’ Snugglers.

  4. My DD has recently decided she wants to collect only ‘endangered’ animal pets, and so has traded away cats, dogs and bears for more exotic stuffed friends. She is ‘in need’ she says, of a polar bear! I think “Marshmallow” Polar Bear 268 is the cutest one of all – but I can definitely see purchasing lots of the beautiful Douglas Toys to round out our ‘endangered’ collection! Thanks!

  5. Oh what a hard choice…they’re too cute… I might choose Trevor Bernese Mountain Dog or 1919 Moonie Shih-Tzu or 4041 Bibs Emperor Penguin. They look so real!! LOVE EM!!

  6. Boy, this is rough. I am going through the horses, as both my teenage daughter and my little girl LOVE horses and cats. Then I go to the Winter Animals and I fall in love with the Penguin hatching out of the egg. Nonetheless, I am sure I would choose a horse. I just cannot pick one at this moment. I personally, really love the floppy ones who are lying down. 🙂
