1-800-FLOWERS “Summer of Smiles”: $50 Giveaway

flowers2Picking out a bouquet of flowers from 1-800-FLOWERS?  Ten minutes.  Personalizing a card?  2 minutes.  Sending flowers to a friend? $40.  Giving the gift of a smile?  Priceless. This summer, 1-800-FLOWERS wants you to let someone know you are thinking of them for a graduation, birthday or just because with a gorgeous bouquet.

flowers3During the “Summer of Smiles” event, 1-800-FLOWERS gave me the opportunity to “send a smile” to someone I love.  I can’t say who these flowers are going to because they haven’t arrived yet, but I know he/she will love them!  I had a blast looking through the site and selecting the perfect bouquet that is sure to put a smile on their face.  And while shopping around, I found a gorgeous arrangement that I would love to receive (did you know my birthday is in just 15 days?!? *hint*).

  1. Honestly, I would spend the 1800Flowers gift card on myself as I am turning 37 on July 4th, but also because I am recovering from a recent surgery and need some cheering up.

  5. My SIL is a wonderful person. A wonderful person who is extremely hard to buy for and will, without blinking an eye, ask for the receipt of a gift she does not like. I have already bookmarked the page because for her birthday at the end of this month she will be getting the Gardenia Bonsai. With or without the lovely gift card.

  6. I’d use the gift card to send my grandma flowers. She’s 87 years old. She just had a little heart attack and the doctors found that the left side of her heart is blocked. 🙁

  7. I’d get the lavender dish garden – dying for this, and my budget doesn’t allow for it sammiejanL40 at aol dot com

  8. I would send my son the Sweet Bing Cherry, Pistachio & Mixed Nut Gift Box. He’s in college and I think he would ENJOY!!! getting these GREAT!!! treats.

  9. I’d order Multi-colored Roses bouquet. Or wait for Tulips again and order Multi colored Tulips bouquet.

  10. With my sister-in-law’s birthday coming up, I think I might get the Happy Day Bouquet for her.

  11. I’d love to send the Razzle Dazzle Rose Plant to my sister and sister-in-law! They’re both pregnant and could use a little sunshine in their day. 🙂

  12. I’d spend it on the Gerbera Daisy Bouquet, 15 Stems for my grandma. She loves those flowers.

  13. I would love to send some nice arrangement to my Aunt Shirley in Virginia..She works so hard and needs something to make her smile!

Thank you for the chance to win!

  18. I would send my Mom the Bonsai – Bougainvillea….so pretty and would last longer than cut flowers.

  19. Just a few weeks ago my answer would have been to give them to my mom. But she passed away so now I would keep them for myself.

  20. I send flowers to my grandmom because she’s going through a rough patch. The Make Lemonade arrangement is so cheery that I’m sure it would bring a smile to her face each time she looked at it.

  21. I would use this gift card to send flowers for my moms birthday.
Thank you so much for the giveaway.

  23. I’d buy my husband one of the Popcorn Factory popcorn tins from 1800flowers.com for his birthday. He loves that kind of stuff.

  24. I would use the card to send flowers to my friend that is expecting a new baby in August. The loayette bouquet is so cute.

  25. A very special friend of mine who lives in a small remote town in Maine will be celebrating her 75th birthday next month. She is a avid gardener with a very green thumb. She works very hard and I would like to surprise her with a big beautiful bouquet – something that I could actually afford to do should I be so lucky as to win the generous giveaway!

  26. I really like the Hot Pink Rose and Orange Peruvian Lily Bouquet for myself!

    ardelong2(at)gmail(dot)com

  27. I would order the “Summer Dunes” bouquet and have it sent to my sister-in-law who lives out of state and cares for my 90 year old mother-in-law all by herself! She deserves these beautiful flowers!

  28. I would have flowers sent to myself at work, because I never get flowers otherwise. My husband is allergic to most flowers, so I guess he doesn’t want me bringing them home. However, I wouldn’t take these home. After a couple of days at the office, showing them off, I’d take them to my dad’s grave.

  29. I’d use the gift card to send my sister the Orange and White Lily Bouquet to cheer her up during a rough patch she’s going through right now — thanks!
