Pampers Dry Max: Review and Giveaway

After the birth of my first daughter, my husband and I did lots of research on finding the best value for diapers.  We purchased the pack of diapers which we thought would be the most cost effective, but due to our lack of experience, we were so wrong. Sure, they were cheaper, but the time it took to change clothes and sheets when a leak occurred made the cheap diapers a HUGE hassle.  After trying many brands, we finally settled of Pampers Swaddlers and eventually Cruisers.  This brand was the perfect mix of function and value for my daughter.  With the birth of my second daughter, we knew to reach straight for the Pampers.  Although this time around, Pampers has developed Dry Max, their newest innovation in 25 years!

Last month, I talked about Pampers teaming up with Winter Olympic competitors by creating Team USA branded diapers containing the new Dry Max for their children.  From the press release:

pamperslogoPampers Swaddlers and Cruisers with Dry Max are the brand’s new high performance diapers and the biggest innovation for the Pampers brand in the last 25 years. Pampers Diapers invented the Dry Max technology and applied it to the current Swaddlers and Cruisers core, which allows the diaper to be thinner than before. This game-changing diaper – Pampers’ driest ever – helps lock wetness in for up to 12 hours and its less bulky design helps give flexibility and comfort – perfect for all of babies’ play. The new diaper design also helps families reduce their impact on the environment by containing 10 percent less material weight. In fact, if current North American Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers users switched to the new Pampers Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max diaper, they could together throw away the weight of 1 billion less diapers every three years (based on 08/09 volume for Swaddlers/Cruisers).”

Because the new diapers with Dry Max are not yet on the market (the are scheduled to appear on store shelves on March 15th), I was fortunate to be able to try them out in advance on my daughter (even my favorite Quarterback Drew Brees got to test them out!).  When the Pampers Cruisers (Size 5) arrived, I immediately grabbed the regular Pampers Cruisers (size 5) to compare.  As you can see in the photo, the new diaper is definitely thinner and longer than it’s counterpart.  The diaper is still soft, adorned with Sesame Street characters and contains dry max technology which appears blue on the inside of the diaper.

The size 5 fit my daughter well and was actually longer than the diaper without dry max.  She appears to be comfortable and moves freely in the diaper.  After monitoring the performance of the new Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max, I can tell you that we have not had one single leak!  Even the wet diaper is less bulky that the previous diaper!  Both Aubrie and I love it!

Would you love to try out the new Pampers Swaddlers/Cruisers with Dry Max?  One lucky winner will receive one Liz Lange designer diaper clutch specially designed for the new Pampers with Dry Max diapers AND a redeemable coupon for a free week’s supply of diapers!!
