Looking for Summer Camps?

Kids are no doubt on the countdown to school’s end! Summer is filled with fun, sun and relaxation…what’s not to love? My husband is a teacher, so we are grateful that he gets to stay home in the summer with Lily, my 5 year old. But, last summer, despite my husband’s attempts to keep her engaged and happy throughout the break, she got bored and longed for her playmates. This summer, we are considering booking one week of Summer Camp in June and one week in July so Lily can still socialize with her friends and continue learning before entering Kindergarden.

kindercareWith so many Summer Camp options, parents are faced with tough decisions. Which one is right for my child? Which one won’t break the bank? One option is to check out the Summer Program at your local KinderCare!  Overview of the program:

With input from nearly 3,000 children on how they’d like to spend their summer, we’ve crafted a summer day-camp program that delivers just what they’re looking for: irresistible learning opportunities, hands-on involvement and unique experiences.

There are unique weekly themes within the summer long camp, all in one convenient location, all kid approved. Themes include science, art, sports, history, nature and much, much more.”

After taking a look at the weekly themes, I wish I could go!  Gross and Gooey Science Camp is right up my alley! From fun classroom activities to outdoor field trips, KinderCare has it all!  I know Lily would love the Kid’s Kitchen Camp!  What I love about this program is that your child will be doing different activities each week which leaves no room for boredom.  Moms can find the weekly themes that best suit their children without making an entire summer commitment.  With 12 different themes, something is bound to peak your child’s curiosity.

I actually grew up around the corner from a KinderCare and attended the Center when I was about 2 years old.  Unfortunately, there are no Kindercares in my area today, but check out the Center Locator to find one closest to you.  Once you find the camp that is right for your child, it’s easy to save them a spot online!

Happy Summer!

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of KinderCare and received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate.
