When I was little I loved Curious George books and fondly remember having them read to me. Years later I was able to read them to my own children (their favorite is Curious George Makes Pancakes) and there is just something about George and The Man in the Yellow Hat that is so timeless and entertaining. I was elated in 2006 when George made it to the big screen. It was one of the first “real” movies we took our son to see! Now, you can enjoy more Curious George right at home with Curious George 2: Follow That Monkey!

Universal Studios has done it again in capturing the adorable antics of George and his friends. The G-Rated sequel features the talents of Tim Curry, Jamie Kennedy, Matt Lauer, and Jerry Lewis and is every bit as entertaining as you’d expect from your favorite monkey. You’ll follow George as he meets Kayla, a homesick baby elephant, at a magic circus show and helps her travel across the country to be reunited with her family. George’s traveling companion is The Man with the Yellow Hat and their friendship continues to be as endearing as ever. George travels by foot, train, and truck to reach Kayla’s brother and sister in California. Of course, we all know George seems to find mischief all the time! Sadly, George is accused of elephant-napping and brought all the way back to New York City. Luckily, Kayla’s owner sees what a good friend George is and realizes how much Kayla misses her family. My children loved the happy ending and I loved how this precious film held their attention one recent rainy afternoon when we were stuck inside!

They say curiosity killed the cat, but in George’s case it just makes him all the more lovable. I loved reading Curious George books as a kid and it’s fun seeing how much my little nephews enjoy the character today. They would love this DVD. Thank you for the chance to win.

I love all the situations he gets himself into
He’s just like a child. Kids can relate to him.
I love the trouble he always gets into
I’ve only experienced the books and my favorite one from when I was a kid is the one when George learned how to ride a bike.
I love that George always means well while creating mayhem.

I love that he is a wholesome character
I like the fact that he’s never intentionally BAD, mischevious, makes some bad decisions but he always ends up OK.
