JVC Picsio Pocket Video Camera: Review and Giveaway

When my first child was born, we filmed everything. Every meal, every sneeze, every diaper change, you get the idea. Three years later when our daughter came along, we caught the important milestones but have nowhere near the amount of moments preserved as before. Part of the lack of video for child number two was that it was just too much trouble to drag out the video camera, plus pack around the diaper bag, camera bag, and all the other stuff you accumulate when kids come along. You can always have it ready so you won’t miss a thing. We have owned another pocket sized video camera for about a year now and can tell you the JVC is far superior in quality. For one, it charges its internal battery by connecting to your computer which is much better because the “other” camera I have takes AAA batteries and they ALWAYS need replacing! The Picsio can run for about 70 minutes before it needs recharging. The picture is sharp and clear and the device is extremely easy to use. What’s even better is that the Picsio can take 8-Megapixel still images AND HD video, so you really get a lot of bang for your buck here! Once your images are taken, you can easily upload to YouTube or other sites, and the software is built in to the camera which makes it a snap! Additionally, you can play your videos straight to your TV by utilizing the camera’s HDMI connection. All you need to provide is a memory card and your imagination!

With a retail price of $199.95, the Picsio is a perfect gift idea for the teens and beyond. I think it would be an incredible asset for new moms who don’t have time to hassle with a complicated video camera to capture baby’s first moments. Moms on the run like me will find it handy for soccer games and ballet lessons since you can always have it with you ready to go. You never know when there might be a memory in the making that you were able to catch and enjoy forever!
