Progresso Panko: Review and Giveaway

hypothesis Progresso Panko will be a great way to make  a “faux fried” chicken dinner for my family.  Because my husband and I are trying to eat better, we are always looking for recipes that will interest the kids but be healthy, too!

materials A Progresso prize pack including Panko, Chicken Broth, spoon, spatula, baking pan, recipe book and one hungry family (family will not be included in your prize pack, LOL!). About Progresso:

progresso Let Progresso inspire your passion for the art of cooking! Since its start in 1927, the Progresso line of products has been built on a rich history of family tradition and high quality. Explore the wide range of delicious products that we offer. The rich flavors of our premium quality ingredients will add an authentic Italian touch to your favorite recipes. Our award winning ingredients are the perfect beginning to any recipe; our soups are perfect as a meal themselves!”

results First a turkey, now chicken?!?  What has gotten into me these days?  I am actually grateful for these reviews because I am learning a lot about cooking and I am gaining confidence in the kitchen (my husband thanks you, too!).  After being offered the opportunity to great a main dish with Progresso Panko, I looked through the fabulous Signature recipes provided by Chef Michael Chiarello, and decided on the Maple-Pecan Chicken.

progressochicken

The recipe was incredibly easy (see the above link for the directions) and the kids LOVED it!  I used chicken tenders instead of breasts and cut them into chicken nuggets.  The maple syrup gave it a sweet flavor and made the chicken incredibly juicy while the Panko and pecans gave the chicken a crispy texture which delighted the little ones.

summary

While I have only had the chance to try this one recipe, there are MANY for your to choose from, along with fun dinner theme and wine suggestions!  If one of these recipes interests you, make sure you check out the available coupons from Betty Crocker!
