Product #1:  Baby B’Air ($34.95)

If you have a squirmy toddler like I do, you know that flying with your little one can be quite a  task.  Up until age 2, children may fly on the lap of an adult rather than in their own seat, but in flight turbulence can be sudden causing possible injuries to an unsecured baby.  Did you know that 90% of injuries on commercial flights occur during flight as opposed to take-off or landing?

wgno1

Baby B’Air was founded on the sole idea that children should have the same protection as adults during the entire flight. Through years of research development and working closely with airlines and the FAA, this unique safety product was introduced to the public. The Baby B’Air is approved by the FAA for usage during flight and is worn by the infant like a vest. Made of 100% cotton, the vest is placed over the child’s head, and secured by adjustable straps on both sides under the baby’s arms. The third strap comes from behind, between the baby’s legs, and buckles to the front with another adjustable strap. After take-off, slip your seat belt through the back strap of the vest and fasten your seat belt again, which secures baby in your lap. Feeding, changing or napping with baby is a breeze and your can rest easy knowing that your baby is secure on your lap for the remainder of the flight.

Product #2:  Tilty Cup ($5.99 for a 2 pack)

wgno2

Tilty Cup is a great way to transition your baby from breast or bottle to a sippy cup.  The patent-pending ergonomic design creates a comfortable and natural drinking experience by keeping liquid at an angle allowing it to flow to the spout with minimal effort. My daughter is already successfully using a sippy cup, but as we transition her to a “grown up” cup, she is having difficulty learning that she does not need to tilt her head or cup all the way back. With the Tilty cup, she is learning that it is only necessary to hold the cup at a 90 degree angle in order to drink. I also love the fact that the Tilty cup does not have a valve, which is recommended by the American Dental Association for proper dental development. Other Mom-approved features are the snap on lid, BPA free design and inexpensive price! You can purchase a 2 pack for only $5.99!

Product #3: Baby Briefcase ($29.95)

wgno4

The Baby Briefcase is a wonderful organizational product for every New Orleans parent.  Along with a new baby, you bring home tons of paperwork and the pile just seems to grow by the day.  Birth certificate, social security card, immunization records, and school papers are all important documents to keep safe and secure.  The Baby Briefcase provides an excellent way to have all of these papers available at a moments notice.  After Hurricane Katrina, my family realized the importance of having important papers organized!

With 15 frosted plastic folders, thank you note tracker, pen holder, and framed photo pocket, the Baby Briefcase makes a unique baby shower gift!

Product #4:  Neck Savers from Baberoo ($12.00)

wgno5

The one sure fire method to put my baby to sleep is a car ride!  After a few moments, she relaxes and her head begins to slump forward.  This just can’t be comfortable! The Baberoo Neck Saver offers proper neck support which is crucial to young babies as their skeletal structures undergo the greatest development in the early months. With good neck support, babies can develop better postures, are more comfortable, rest better, and wake up happier.  The best thing about this allergen-free product, is the versatility!  You can use the Baberoo Neck Saver in a car seat, stroller, or swing to reduce neck strain and ensure your baby naps comfortably.  The Neck Saver comes in a variety of colors to match any decor!

Product #5:  Is your Child’s Life Worth 10 Minutes? DVD ($17.99)

wgno6

I know when I first saw the title of this DVD, “Is your child’s life worth 10 minutes?“, I exclaimed, “YES, OF COURSE!”  This summer we bought a ring pool for us to enjoy during the intense New Orleans heat, so this water safety DVD peaked my interest.  If I learned ONE thing that saved the life of my child, it would be totally worth it, right?

This DVD is a unique visual guide demonstrating the hazards found in the pool environment with step-by-step recommendations for how to avoid those hazards and deal with a pool related emergency.  An invaluable education resource for every parent or care-giver providing the information and skills necessary to prevent another child from becoming a drowning statistic.

After viewing the DVD made by Baby Otter Swim School, I did learn a few tips that I had not thought of previously such as always taking a phone outside when swimming.  The valuable seconds you gain from not having to run inside to search for a phone during an emergency could be the difference between life and death.

I previewed the “Is Your Child’s Life Worth 10 minutes” Baby Otter Swim DVD – Safety: A Pool Owner’s Visual Guide, and learned that drowning is the number one cause of death of children under the age of five years and that 65% drown in the family pool! Although the home where my two toddler granddaughter’s live has a “fenced” pool, I am always worried about them entering the pool area unsupervised one day, so I would love to win this DVD for my son and his wife.
I also love the Baberoo Neck Saver! I have suffered two serious neck injuries, surgeries and the life-long effects of neck injuries, so I’m all for any product that helps to support the neck and head.
