Some kids are born with a love of reading, others have to be encouraged to read. Often times it takes one special book or experience to change a child’s opinion of reading forever. Big Universe can do just that! Big Universe is an award-winning website devoted to children’s literacy. Kids can read, create, print, and publish books online! Big Universe has thousands of titles available that are easily found by grade level, interest, language, and more! My son was more than happy to give Big Universe a try:

He described being able to read books online as “Awesome!” and was easily able to find books on his reading level. The illustrations were bright and colorful and the text was large enough to read easily on the computer screen. He spent quite a while navigating the site and was easily able to find more books that interested him. In the coming weeks he wants to explore the other features of the site so he can write and share a story of his very own!
