Fuji EnviroMAX: Review

With every child born into our family, our need for batteries has increased exponentially!  It seems like every toy needs more batteries than the next!  And here in South Louisiana, batteries are a requirement in order to be prepared for Hurricane Season.

Because my family uses it’s fair share of batteries, I was happy to hear that there is actually a “green” alternative!  Fuji EnviroMAX batteries are made up of materials derived from the basic elements of the Earth.  When these batteries are disposed of through normal waste systems, no toxic chemicals are released to harm the environment.   There is no harmful mercury or cadmium in the Fuji EnviroMAX batteries which are also packaged with recycled materials.

fuji2In fact, Fuji EnviroMAX batteries won two awards this month!  The 2009 Seal of Approval from The National Parenting Center called the batteries “impressive” for their performance and the 2009 iParenting Media Award chose the batteries for Outstanding Product in the Gear and Accessories category as an innovative product that will have a positive impact on the environment.

What about performance?  Does eco-friendly mean substandard?  NO WAY!  From the website:

Independent tests show Fuji EnviroMAX batteries equal, and most often exceed the performance and longevity of equivalent major brands.

We had the opportunity to try out a few of the Fuji EnviroMAX batteries in my own home.  While we didn’t have enough time to conduct a real experiment, I can tell you that my husband used these batteries to power his outdoor radio while working in our garden.  He played the radio all day long, and accidentally left it on all night as well.  The next morning, the radio was STILL PLAYING!
