Review and Giveaway: Fancy Fortune Cookies

What’s the best part of a Chinese take out meal?  For me, it is the fortune cookie!  I have vivid memories of sitting around the dinner table with my family when I was a child, opening our cookies to reveal a fortune.  Taking turns reading what life had in store for us was always fun (and yummy, too!).

fancyfortunes2Now, Fancy Fortune Cookies allows you to enjoy the fun of fortune cookies anytime…with a twist!  Have you ever had a mint, cappucino, or bubble gum flavored fortune cookie?  How about dipped in white, milk or dark chocolate?  Fancy Fortune Cookies offers a huge assortment of gourmet fortune cookies baked on site in their own bakery.  To ensure freshness, your order is baked, individually wrapped and shipped all on the same day.

The cookies can have up to 5 personalized fortunes allowing you to create a memorable experience for your party guests.  The unique colors and tastes promises that your guests remember this special treat!  You can choose from 14 delicious flavors such as raspberry, blueberry, lemon or coconut to name a few.  Matching colors to the decor of your event is also a possibility, just ask Oprah!  She has used Fancy Fortune Cookies on two separate occassions!

Don’t need a lot of cookies?  How about one GIANT one?  The Giant Fortune cookie can be decorated for just about any holiday including birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or Bridal Showers.  Your own personalized fortune can be placed inside this one pound fortune cookie and can be purchased for $29.95.

I was fortunate enough to receive a few varities for review:  mint, cherry, cappucino, vanilla and each variety dipped in chocolate.  Before I even opened the box, I could smell what was inside!  It smelled as if they were JUST baked!  All the cookies were individually wrapped and shipped in bubble wrap….not one single cookie was broken!  I immediately went for the vanilla one dipped in chocolate and I was not dissappointed.  It was crispy, fresh and downright delicious!  I will admit, I was a little unsure about trying a bright green, mint flavored fortune cookie, but I thought it was excellent as well.

I took the bag of fortune cookies to work and to my dance class (after sharing with my family, of course!).  The overwhelming favorite was the chocolate covered cappuchino cookie.  But, as you can see, Lily loved the chocolate covered cherry one!

The best part is that her fortune read, “You will have a happy and peaceful life.”  I hope it comes true!
