Review and Giveaway: Polliwalks

I’m going to show my age here, but follow me while I reminisce for a minute….

The most FUN pair of shoes I had when I was growing up was Jellies!  Remember those?  Basically, they were clear rubbery shoes that just about everybody wore in the early 80′s.  I loved my Jellies.  I had a ton of colors and even some sparkly ones (I was a dork then, too)!  Who knew shoes could be FUN for kids?!?

polliwalkslogo

Well, Polliwalks did!  This innovative company with the slogan “Fun for Feet,”  has perfectly combined fit, function and fun in their line of childrens shoes!

From their website:

Polliwalks™ was born from the imagination of long time footwear designer and former toy designer, Joel Rusnak.  He had the idea that children’s shoes should be fun and offer toy like features that will make wearing shoes a playful experience, while offering support, stability and comfort for little feet.

polliwalksanimalsThe shoes are offered in 11 different styles, all resembling animals!  From fish to puppies, cats to fireflys, Polliwalks has a shoe to fit your little one’s foot and imagination.  Each shoe features built -in arch support and a deep heel cup to ensure stability and support.  Not only does the shoe look like an animal, but it’s Footprinter Bottom will leave animal tracks to match when walking through sand, mud or water!  In addition, several products have added features like changing colors or light up tails!

Lily received a pair of Fish Lips in Sky Blue and she went BONKERS for these shoes!  The lips of the shoe turn purple when exposed to UV light, so Lily spent almost an hour running inside and outside to watch her shoes turn color.  I started to wonder if this was a shoe or a toy?!? LOL!

The fun design immediately drew her in, but it was the function that sold me!  The sandal design is great for slipping on and off when in a hurry.  However, the Fish Lips shoe features a removable elastic heel strap which ensures that the shoe will stay put.  The material is very low maintenance requiring only a damp cloth or mild soap for cleaning.

On her way to dance class, Lily stopped to demonstrate how her cool new shoes change color:

Review and Coupon Code: Vincent Shoes

Here in New Orleans, the weather is getting warm and the summer clothes have come out of the closet!  Both of my girls are growing so fast that I knew we would need new summer sandals this season.  Quality shoes are very important because we plan to do a lot of outdoor activities with the girls!  Fortunately, I came across Vincent shoes while I was shopping online.

Vincent Shoes prides themselves on creating fashion-inspired shoes with a definite focus on fit.  The shoes are designed to support and protect your child’s foot and encourage healthy foot development.  Their collections range from soft pre-walkers to dress shoes for older boys and girls.  The wonderful Spring & Summer ’09 collection includes great toddler shoes and the most adorable kids’ rain boots.

I was a bit nervous ordering shoes for Lily online because I generally take her into the store to be fitted.  But, Vincent Shoes has a comprehensive Shoe Fitting Guide that made deciding on size a snap!  I finally decided on the Kim sandal in white for Lily. This shoe is a comfortable leather closed toe sandal with a looped Velcro strap.

I was very pleased when the shoes arrived. Out of the box, the shoes appear to be created with high quality materials.  The shoe fitting guide worked wonders because the shoe fits Lily perfectly.  The looped Velcro strap is a little hard for her to get on and off by herself, but with practice, she will be fine.  Lily said that her shoes were very comfortable and the closed toe design was perfect four our day at the park.

Review and Giveaway: Tutu Legz

There are a few things that little girls just cannot have enough of:  bows, lace, shoes, dresses, barrettes, stockings and…..tutus!  If you are a Mom of girls, you will be Tu-tu crazy over my next review and giveaway!tutulegz-logo

When I first ran across the website our next sponsor, TutuLegz, I thought, “Wow, that’s pretty cute.  I’d love to try them on my girls!”  I contacted Serena and Jennifer, the sisters (and best friends) who own the company and was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to feature them on my blog.  At the time, I had NO IDEA how I would fall in love with these everyday tutus!  From the moment I took them out of the box, I have been itching to share this incredible find with you!

TutuLegz is an online boutique which specializes in “fabulous, one piece, unique, not so puffy, comfy tutu with legz topped off with girly designs to add some fun!“  The sisters set out to bring the tutus out of the closet and into their daughter’s everyday wardrobe without sacrificing practicality or comfort.  The product line includes the original TutuLegz (which can be made in short, capri or full length sizes), TutuLegz Tees which complete the outfit, and some adorable holiday sets (I love the turkey design!).

tutulegzocto

TutuLegz was nice enough to send both Lily and Aubrie their very own pair of everyday tutus.  Lily received the “Lil’ Rockstar” and Aubrie was treated to “Ellie the Elephant.”  When I opened the packaging, I was just in awe at how cute they were!  I actually contemplated waking up the girls to have them try it on!  The leggings were super-soft and the tutu was surprisingly un-scratchy!  I love the way the tutus are designed by placing the appliques INSIDE the tutu.  Not only does it provide a more subtle look, but my one year old was unable to pick at the applique and pull it off. I am not the only one raving about TutuLegz!  Check out the celebrity inquiries!

When Lily saw her pair of Rockstar Legz, she shreiked and ran off to pick out her favorite Hannah Montana Tee to wear with it.  I took the girls to dinner that night and got nothing but positive feedback from people we passed.  I even handed out the website to another customer at the restaurant!

Take a look at some of the pictures I took of the girls playing in their TuTuLegz!

You NEED these for your daughter now, right!?  You are in luck!  TuTuLegz has generously donated one pair of Tutu Legz to a lucky reader!

Review and Giveaway: Binkie Bungee

Aubrie is definitely a paci girl!  She loves her binkie and has become a wiz at getting it off just about any pacifier clip I have tried.  To be prepared, I always carry at LEAST two back-up pacifiers because it is only a matter of time before Aubrie removes her paci clip releasing it to the dirty floor.  It never fails!

I have been on the hunt for a pacifier clip that does NOT use Velcro and well, is Aubrie-proof!  In my searching, I came accross the Z. Daisy Binkie Bungee.  This online boutique was started by two creative Moms who set out to create special and unique products that are gift-giving ready leaving little work for the customer.  Pure Genius!

z-daisy-signature-pictureZ. Daisy offers great items such as the Blanket Bungee, Personalized Pacifiers, and awesome baby gift sets.  This fabulous Mom duo also donates a portion of their proceeds to help fund adoptions through Life International.

They were also nice enough to send me one of their Pink Binkie Bungees to see if it solved all of our pacifier woes.  I am happy to report that it did!  This paci clip is made of ultra soft minky fabric and attaches just about any paci using a simple slip knot and a small elastic loop.

003

I had high hopes for the Binkie Bungee and I was NOT disappointed.  It was very easy to attach Aubrie’s paci and no matter how much she tugged on the paci, it would not come off!  On our recent trip to the Zoo, her pacifier did not hit the ground once creating a happy baby and an even happier Mom!  Thanks, Z. Daisy!

Want to try the Binkie Bungee?  Z. Daisy has generously offered one lucky reader a Binkee Bungee in their color choice!

Review and Giveaway: Clorox Disinfecting Wipes Decor Canisters

With two kids under age 4 who both attend daycare or preschool, germs are inevitable.  And no matter how much I preach, let’s face it, infants and toddlers are not the most sanitary beings out there!  So, I arm  myself with Clorox Disinfecting Wipes.  These wipes have been a staple of every grocery visit and are stored in a cabinet (where the kiddies can’t touch, of course!).

Thanks to the Family Review Network, I have been introduced to Clorox Disinfecting Wipes Decor Canisters!  Clorox has “redesigned clean” so those handy wipes do not have to hide in the cabinet anymore!  The new packaging is so attractive and trendy that you can proudly display them on your countertops or sink where they can be easily accessed for clean ups. cloroxdecor

Even though the packaging is different, the product you have grown to trust remains the same.  The Clorox Decor Canisters still contain the same great formula that kills 99.9% of household germs but is now offered in 8 fashionable canisters.  The improvements don’t stop at the attractive exterior!  The dispenser system has had a remodel as well, which now includes a wider mouth for easier access and a single sheet dispensing system.

I received the Blue Squares Canister and it looks great on my bathroom sink!  I really like the new dispensing system because it really is easier to grab just one sheet.  With the old system (one roll of perforated sheets), I would sometimes pull out more sheets that I desired and placing them back in the container was next to impossible.  I cleaned my bathroom sink and my kitchen counters with the Clorox wipes and found that they work just as well as the original.

Right now, Clorox is holding a contest where you can vote on one of ten finalists for the next canister design.  By voting, you will automatically be entered in a drawing to receive a $1000 Macy’s shopping spree!

Want to win more?  Clorox has given me 3 coupons for one FREE Clorox Wipes Decor Canister to give away to my readers!

1.  Visit Clorox and tell me which design you would get with your coupon!
