Review and Giveaway: Funky Kidz Music

“Mommy, watch me dance!” Lily is quite the performer these days. She is taking both dance and cheerleading classes, so I think she has rhythm flowing through her veins! So, music reviews are always a favorite in my house!
We were fortunate enough to receive 2 new CDs to test out! The first was “Funky Kidz” from Executive Producer, Lauren Busch Singer (and her 9 year old son, Jake!). Being a New Orleans native, this compilation CD featuring 12 of the area’s finest artists was of particular interest to me! The twelve tracks include funked up covers of classic kids songs such as Zip a Dee Doo Dah, Yellow Submarine and one of my favorites, This Little Light of Mine.

This CD was a total HIT! Lily danced to the entire album and completely wore herself out before bedtime (a definite plus! LOL!). Check out her funky moves as she does the Hokey Pokey!

The second CD was entitled, “American Heroes #3” by Jonathan Sprout, a NAPPA and Parent Choice award-winning artist. This CD includes lively songs about some of America’s finest historical figures such as George Washington Carver, Pocahontas, Thomas Jefferson and more!
My husband is a History teacher, so I gave him this CD to review. He was very excited about incorporating these songs into his lesson plans and was convinced it would be an excellent learning tool in his classroom. What a great way to make learning FUN!
