Naturally Knotty: Giveaway CONTEST CLOSED

Who says Moms can’t be fashionistas, too?!? Update your handbag collection over at Naturally Knotty! This growing company with a passion for green luxury, is committed to environmentally-friendly manufacturing practices, integrating components of factory scrap, factory overstock or recycled materials whenever possible. Naturally Knotty takes great care to manufacture their products in factories that treat their employees fairly because they believe one persons lifestyle should not be to the detriment of another.
After the birth of my second daughter, I decided it was time to purchase a new diaper bag. But this time, I wanted it to be a bag that doesn’t scream, “I carry diapers and dirty bibs!” I wanted a bag that I could use long after successful potty training (which seems soooo far away!). So, when I found the Knotty Tote, I knew it was the bag for me! I don’t think anyone would suspect it doubles as a diaper bag!

The Knotty Tote blends small strips of overstock silk textiles together to create a work of eco-art with the practicalities all mom’s need. With a recycled plastic coating, these totes last forever and continue looking beautiful for years on end.

Features:

  • Large Size: 16″ x 12″ x 6″
  • Large, Soft handles make it comfortable to carry
  • The highest quality zippers in the world (YKK Zipper) to help it last a lifetime
  • Recycled plastic coating on outside means the bag can get wet and spilled on and it will continue to look great

Naturally Knotty is also pleased to announce that their Baby Cashmere Gift Set is now being sold at Costco.com for $179.99!

This gift set consists of a cashmere blanket, hat and booties made from the world’s finest Mongolian cashmere source. The cashmere is gently combed (not sheared), and course outer fibers are then separated from the finer. I received a small swatch of the cashmere and I can tell you it is one of the softest things I have ever felt! Pure heaven!

  • Machine washable
  • 100% pure Mongolian cashmere
  • Naturally non toxic and dye-free
  • Fabric weight: Full set > 300 grams
  • Hat & booties sized to fit baby 3-6 months old
  • Packaged in a beautiful gift box made from recycled materials
  • Blanket dimensions: 30″ x 30″

Review and Giveaway: New Native

Guest Review by Renee from What Mommmies Need
Baby slings are a must-have product for the Modern Mom! New Native, an eco-friendly company, has been creating stylish and practical tools for healthy parenting since 1992. Their high quality products have been backed by excellent customer service and a tradition of integrity. They have even been endorsed by celebrity Moms!

When I was first asked to do a review on the New Native Sling, I was a ready for the help in hauling my little one around. I have a 6 month old son who is around 28 inches long and weighs 19 lbs. I definately need help considering we are out of the infant carrier, but I must say I was concerned about him fitting comfortably.

Let me say that all my concerns have been put to rest. This sling was easy to use and came with multiple directions for each position. My son not only fit, but was more than happy to be toted around in the sling.

The fabric is a heavy weight cotton and did not slip on my shoulder. It is machine washable which makes for easy clean up. It folds up and can fit easily into my purse or diaper bag, which means I am never without it. I love that I will be able to use this sling till my son reaches 35 lbs. Hopefully this gives me at least 1 more month. LOL!

The carrier is worn over one shoulder and the opposite hip. Baby can be worn in front, side or back. Ideal for discreet nursing, the New Native Baby Carrier is made from 100% cotton fabrics without buckles, padding or metal rings. Ideal for newborn to 35 lbs. and each carrier comes not only with paper directions, but also an instructional DVD. They even make sizes up to 5XL.
So, if other slings have not worked for you, don’t hesitate to give this one a try.

In addition to baby carriers, New Native carries other healthy products like Cotton Baby Clothes, vitamins and this adorable child’s doll carrier. New Native was nice enough to send one to Lily to test out and she has not taken it off all night!

The doll carriers look exactly like Mommy’s and would make a perfect gift for a Big Sister to be!

Want to try it? New Native generously has offered one reader a Cotton Sling in the Zebra Twill print!

How to Enter:
1. Visit New Native, Inc. and tell me which carrier is your favorite!

Mardi Gras Mambo Day 11: Happy Mardi Gras!

Today signifies the end of Carnival Season, and therefore the end to our Mardi Gras Mambo Giveaway. Did y’all have fun? But, before we go we have one last special throw. The winner of this giveaway will walk away with a bag of goodies!

First, we start off with some yummy King Cake soaps from the etsy store Soapalaya Soaps. King Cake is a favorite treat during the Mardi Gras season, and we wait for it each year. Despite the fact you can’t eat them, this soap smells kinda like the freshly baked, over-iced, insanely sweet indulgence they are intended to replicate. Sweet and rich….just like a king cake! Yum!
So, “Laissez les bons temps rouler” – Let the good times roll!
Each king cake is made to order and weighs approx. 6 oz. each.

Second, no Mardi Gras day would be complete without a costume! The Etsy store, Sweetie Pie Tutus, has offered to help us decorate your day with a Mardi Gras Mambo Tutu. This tutu is made with over 100 yards of soft gold, green and purple tulle. It is 8′ in length and adorned with coordinating mardi gras beads. All tutus are available in all sizes ranging from newborn to 6 years.

Last but not least, April at Just Typical Life (who is also an awesome photographer) has offered a 5×7 matted and signed Mardi Gras Indian Print to show the true spirit of our city. The Black Mardi Gras Indians of New Orleans are a unique sub-culture of a highly diverse and complex group of the local population . The tradition of these masking Indians, dates back to the 1700’s. As a result of this lack of a solid path in the knowledge of Indian history, many theories abound, but this much is for certain, the Indians have preserved some of their culture and history in the guise of tradition, and that tradition at the time of Mardi Gras, is now an integral part of New Orleans. In the heart of New Orleans since the 1780’s and perhaps earlier, this ancient colorful and artistic culture has been practiced. A culture, that be it known, exhibits all of that tradition, with some of the positive heritage, and is quite a unique history.

Put your arms up, wave them around, and yell “Throw me Something Mister!!” Okay, that won’t get you all these wonderful prizes, but wasn’t it fun? To win the prizes, just follow the rules below:

Don’t forget, we are giving you a chance to DOUBLE your entries by registering here and at What Mommies Need.

How to Win:

1) Visit Soapalaya Soaps, Sweetie Pie Tutus, and April Allen Photo, and tell us your favorite item from each store.

Additional Entries: (Please leave each entry in a separate comment)
1) Subscribe to my blog.
2) Follow me on twitter (BridgetteLA) or tweet about this giveaway.
3) Blog about this giveaway and make sure to include a link back!

My Entry: Label Daddy BlogHer ’09 Sponsorship

Here goes nothin’ (I hope you will all still be my friends after you see me make a complete FOOL of myself)!! Check out my vlog to see why I want to win the Label Daddy BlogHer ’09 Sponsorship!

OK, stop laughing…..seriously, stop laughing! I have to be serious for a minute!

I am fairly new to the blogging community and have already grown by leaps and bounds (pick me). But, I know I have a TON to learn. While I have met many mom blogs along the way (pick me) that have helped tremendously, I know that attending BlogHer would allow me to learn the steps I need (pick me) in order to take my blog to the next level. I would be MORE than honored to represent Label Daddy (pick me) in Chicago and network with the bloggers I have met along the way.

Thank you so much for your consideration (pick me)!

Do you like my video? Make sure you comment and tell Label Daddy exactly why they should PICK ME!!
