Think Thin Thursdays: UPDATE

Thank you all for your interest and support! I have received a few suggestions (which I LOVE), so I am revising the rules.

Next Thursday, post your starting weight on your own blog. It can be a video OR a picture of your feet on the scale. It is not necessary to show your face.

If you are having trouble mustering up the courage to participate, I received a few suggestions:

Begin a weight loss blog to post your pictures and use a “fake name” to sign the Shrinky Linky. Only I will know who you are if you win a prize when I receive your shipping address.

Or, email me a picture of you on the scale instead of posting it on a blog. That would verify your entry into the contests.

Better? I welcome more suggestions! Keep leaving comments if you are interested in participating!

Goodbye baby weight!!!

  1. Instead of having it weight-centered, have you considered doing something like a workout/health/fitness goal?

My baby’s 6 months old, and you’ll hate me but my baby weight disappeared into thin air. I don’t have baby weight to lose, and I’ll actually be underweight if I lost anything, but I do have the most ugly terrible lump of flappy skin where my preggy belly used to be.

If you opened it up to not just weight tracking, but towards attaining some fitness goal, more people will be able to participate, even those who don’t need to lose weight. Someone can set a goal to be able to run 3 miles everyday, or be able to do 100 pushups in a minute or something…just as healthy but it’s not exactly weight-centered.

People who are conscious about numbers can join in too. No weight numbers involved, but hey…you’re bound to lose weight if you’re aiming to be able to do a mile in under a minute =P.

Just a thought. I would absolutely LOVE to participate because I really need to get on losing that flappy stuff and would appreciate the support/mini-community, but unfortunately that’s not weight =(.

  2. Good Luck Ladies! I need to get motivated too. I don’t really concentrate on weight though. Heck I don’t even have a scale in the house.

  3. Bridgett, this is such a great idea…nothin’ like accountability to help keep us on the right track!

  5. Ohh great idea!! SO glad I saw this. Only 3 weeks PP, but I can still start eating healthier and walk at the park 🙂
