The Big Apple

Last weekend, I decided that Lily could really use some extra attention and I miss having time alone with her, too. So, I took her to a cute little cottage near my home to make some Halloween Candy apples! She had an absolute BLAST!

First, she dipped her apple in the milk chocolate.

Then, she decorated it with gummies, confetti and candy corn.

Finally, she decorated a bag with stickers and markers to take home her creation! It really was a great day!

Helpless

There is nothing worse than seeing your child in pain and not being able to do anything to help them. I feel so helpless! My poor Lily has another ear infection and has been up since 5am crying. I have given her Tylenol and ear drops, but nothing seems to be helping. We have a Doctor appointment at 2pm, so I am trying to make her as comfortable as possible till then.

The good thing is that one of my best friends is Lily’s Pediatrician, so Lily loves going to the Doctor! This is Lily at the Doctor when she was 18 months old.

Come on Two O’Clock!

Lansinoh Products: Review and Giveaway CONTEST CLOSED

When my first daughter was born, I successfully breastfed for 7 months. When I became pregnant with my second daughter, I thought breastfeeding would be simple the second time around because now I was an experienced pro! I was so wrong. Aubrie and I had problems getting a correct latch which resulted in cracking, bleeding and lots of pain. I was on the verge of giving up and switching to formula when I discovered Lansinoh HPA Lanolin which helped the healing process and made breastfeeding much more bearable. The Lanolin is thick, but not too greasy and stays put! I have now made it 7.5 months of nursing Aubrie (and counting!).

I already know I love the Lansinoh brand, so when I was approached to review the Lansinoh HPA Lanolin and the new Diaper Rash Ointment, I was more than happy to oblige!

This year Lansinoh extended their line of products and introduced Lansinoh Diaper Rash Ointment. This product is not only for breastfed babies! Unlike other diaper rash treatments, Lansinoh Diaper Rash Ointment contains Lansinoh’s HPA Lanolin, the world’s purest and safest lanolin, known for the past two decades as the number one product of choice by breastfeeding mothers for sore, cracked nipples. Lansinoh Diaper Rash Ointment has a unique blend of ingredients in its triple protection formula and is fragrance free, hypoallergenic and has an elegant, non-greasy texture that goes on white, rubs in clear and doesn’t make a mess.

Now, I have to admit, I was skeptical because I already have a favorite brand of diaper rash cream, but I decided to put the Lansinoh brand to the test. The first thing I loved about the ointment is that it is fragerance free! The ointment went on smoothly and definitely covered well. I felt like Aubrie’s bottom was well protected from developing rashes. However, my favorite part was that the cream becomes clear when applied! No more white gook under my nails! Genius!

Want to try it out for yourself? I have 1 tube (3oz) of the Lansinoh Diaper Rash Ointment and 1 tube (2oz) of the Lansinoh HPA Lanolin to give away to TWO of my lucky readers!

Wanna Win a Million Bucks?

I admit it. I’m hooked on the McDonald’s Monopoly game. Somebody stop me before I eat my weight in fries just to get new game pieces! I wonder if anyone actually wins this game or if certain winning pieces are never printed? Have you or anyone you know ever won a prize?

Do you think that an employee is hired to guard the 1 million dollar cup? For example, if a customer is given the cup with the winning game piece, but never pulls the tab off the cup and throws it away, does the employee have to dig it out of the trash and re-circulate it? LOL! I mean, you KNOW, they don’t print many million dollar game pieces, so what happens if those pieces are tossed to the trash?

Regardless, I want to win, and I am willing to swim in a giant pool of sweet tea in order to get more game pieces. I have no problem with the McDonald’s corporation putting a Monopoly mustache on me and printing billions of copies! LOL!

Who’s with me?
