Here is the premise behind the award:

Do you know any bloggers that kick ass? Maybe they’ve got incredible, original content. Or they’re overflowing with creativity. Is it someone that helps you become a better blogger? Mix-N-Match

Now that I have two daughters, I thought it would be really cute to have matching “themed” costumes for Halloween. I even had Lily on board with the idea of her being Little Bo Peep and Aubrie being a cute little sheep. She even suggested that she could be Goldilocks and Aubrie could be Baby Bear!

Lily and I sat down together and started searching the Net for suitable costumes that met her approval. And then…..it happened. She spotted a sparkly yellow Princess Belle dress complete with high heels and a tiara. She was drawn to it like a moth to a flame! She no longer wants to be Little Bo Peep or even Goldilocks.

So, my hopes of a cute themed Halloween picture were destroyed by that sparkley yellow gown. Why does Disney have such power over my kid?? LOL! I decided to make the best of it and let Lily choose a costume for her sister.

After much deliberation, this is what my kids will look like as we collect candy on Halloween:

LOL! Anybody want to try to come up with a theme for THIS?

If you STILL need more evidence that I am indeed the BIGGEST NERD, feast your eyes on these fabulous photos:

Oh yes, I wore a bandana around my neck. Your eyes do not deceive you.

This picture counts as THREE reasons that I am a nerd.

1. I broke my arm teaching a dance class.

2. My work is featured in an Insectarium.

3. I actually stood in front of my exhibit and took a picture (broken arm and all!).

And don’t forget this one! I was featured in a Science Magazine! It took us 2 whole days to get this shot! LOL! Oh, and see the pin on my lab coat, that’s an award for 10 years of service!

Man…what a nerd.
